A stand-alone expansion pack for the strategy game Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations - the core game was developed in 2013 by Warfare Sims. In comparison to the base Command, which delivered a global take on modern military conflicts, Northern Inferno reduces both the time frame and the size of the warfare theater present. The plot revolves around fictional events of the year 1975 - the world witnesses the ongoing Cold War and the tensions between world's two superpowers (US and USSR) escalate. The player's goal is to stop the forces of the Warsaw Pact before a nuclear cataclysm happens. Both the visuals and mechanics have not changed since the base game and the creators have focused mainly on preparing a new, extensive story campaign. In order to ensure high level of realism, the creators invited Paul A. Bridge to work on this title - he is both an active officer of the British Navy and a veteran of the Falklands War.

A 2D survival horror focused on multiplayer gameplay, developed by independent studio C3SK and published by Devolver Digital. The game depicts a post-apocalyptic vision of the Earth where our planet has been plunged into darkness by an ancient evil that attacked without a warning, decimating human population. The title features a classic top-down perspective, and the core gameplay focuses on exploration of procedurally generated locations and fighting monsters inspired by the novels of H. P. Lovecraft. Much emphasis was put on the survival elements, requiring you to keep an eye on your character’s life functions, and collect useful items and weapons. What really makes Noct unique is the way it presents the world - since the game’s world is pitch black, the only way to see is the visualization provided by a thermal imaging satellite system.

An old school RPG by 68K Studios, created for mobile devices. The action of Mazes of Karradash takes place in the eponymous city, located in a typical fantasy world which is targeted by dark forces. After a long and uneven fight, the inhabitants of this world learned that the waves of opponents come from the extensive dungeon system under the city. The player’s objective is to lead a group of adventurers to the underground to find and destroy the source of the invasion. Mechanically, this is a typical dungeon crawler production which combines classic elements of the genre with modern ideas. The title features a first-person perspective and focuses on exploration and turn-based combat. There are, however, roguelike elements (permadeath and procedurally-generated levels) and strategy aspects. Between the raids, you also have to regain the city’s previous glamour.

An original platformer developed by Section Studios, inspired by a popular indie Super Meat Boy. In Tinertia, the players assume the role of Weldon – a small, but an uncanny robot who, together with his inseparable rocket launcher, for reasons unknown was imprisoned on a deserted island that is invaded by enemy forces known as ARC. To escape the trap, Weldon has to get through 65 levels, set in seven various environments, facing numerous challenges and seven robot bosses. The game is similar to other 2.5D platforming games – the only difference being that our protagonist doesn’t possess the ability to jump, which is one of the crucial elements in such a genre. During the game, Weldon can move freely around flat surfaces, but in order to jump and counter his opponents, he has to use his invaluable rocket launcher, using it to get a boost in the opposite direction – a technique known in popular online shooters such as Quake or Unreal Tournament as "rocket jump".

This results in around 200 duels, which will let us collect many useful items and weapons. In case of dealing with fire, we need to remember about choosing the right extinguishing agents, finding water sources, and aiming the water stream at the right locations. The game contains a story campaign, but we can also respond to daily assignments. Rescue 2: Everyday Heroes uses up-to-date three-dimensional graphics, but the quality is decent at best.

Adventure, 2D, RPG Elements, Indie Games, Platformers, Action Adventure, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.
A science fiction action adventure game and the debut production of Red Cloak Games. The plot of Wanderer takes us into a distant future and tells the story of a convict named Rook who wakes from a cryogenic sleep inside an orbital space station to discover that the entire installation has been destroyed and abandoned by humans, turning it into a deadly place. Rook sets out to look for sections where there can still be people but, as it will soon turn out, not all of them are friendly. The ultimate goal of the protagonist is to find a way to escape the dangerous place. Thanks to the non-linear plot that offers moral choices, how the objective is achieved depends on the player to a large extent. The game combines elements of various genres, such as platformer exploration, point ‘n’ click-style puzzle solving, and turn-based combat similar to that of classical RPGs.

A mobile fantasy card game developed by the creators of PC MMORPG Mabinogi from 2004. The game's story refers to its online original and is set in a fairytale world divided into three continents inhabited by humans, elves, and giants. In terms of gameplay, the title is very much like Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, focusing on fighting subsequent battles with personally built deck of cards symbolizing characters, items, spells, etc. Mabinogi Duel features two basic modes of entertainment. The first is an extensive and constantly expanded single-player campaign in which we traverse subsequent lands, taking part in duels with numerous local warlords and a bit more challenging bosses. For people preferring living opponents there is a PvP Arena mode, where we can fight against other players from around the world and exchange cards.

Sports, Manager, Football Manager, Football, Singleplayer.
Another mobile edition of one of the most popular football management simulators series developed by Sports Interactive. Compared to the full-fledged installments in the franchise, Football Manager Mobile 2016 offers somewhat simplified gameplay, although it has many more features than Football Manager Touch 2016, also for mobile devices, which was released simultaneously. The trade-off is that the database is limited to the 14 most important world leagues. The gameplay itself does not deviate from the standard solutions of the series – in the game, we have to select a proper squad for each match, decide on player transfers, set training plans, as well as take care of the club’s budget and our employees’ and supporters’ satisfaction. Compared to its predecessors, the production was enriched with a number of novelties and enhancements, particularly an improved interface, new tactical instructions, and an extensive training module.

Among the vehicles present, the player will find buggies, monster trucks, both 2WD and 4WD cars. The game can be enjoyed either solo or with others in the multiplayer mode, based on competitive racing (10 players at maximum). Apart from that, the players can freely use the tracks provided by the creators; they can also create their own tracks/maps. The in-game editor includes over 150 objects that can be easily placed on a map. Player-made maps can be shared with others thanks to Steam Workshop support.

RPG, 2D, Beat 'em Up, Fantasy, Indie Games, jRPG, Side-scroll, Singleplayer, PlayStation Exclusive.
A side-scrolling jRPG with strong elements of classic beat'em up. Fallen Legion was developed by an American studio YummyYummyTummy. The game came out for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita; the two versions differ mainly in terms of story. Fallen Legion is set in a fantasy world and the player is taken to the Kingdom of Fenumia, which falls from glory due to the king's premature death. His daughter (the protagonist in the PS4 version), tries to cope with the problem and goes on a long and dangerous journey in order to bring peace and safety to her subjects. This is obviously noticed by Legatus Laendur (the protagonist in the PSV version), who's lust for power makes him try to take control of Fenumia in her absence. The core of the experience is constituted by fighting enemies in a real-time combat system. The key to success is to make a good use of the individual abilities of the controlled characters, apart from being able to skillfully combine attacks of the entire team into complex combos; however, having quick reflexes is also needed. Furthermore, the player has to make more and less important decisions many times - those influence the course of the story and what the game world looks like. All of this is complemented by eye-pleasing, hand-painted 2D visuals.
