Reset takes place in a future world in which advanced technologies provide humanity with unusual possibilities. The protagonist can bend time and space and create copies of himself from the future. He uses this ability to solve various challenging and satisfying riddles in which not only intellect matters, but agility as well – some actions must be well coordinated. A high level of freedom in selection of future tasks is only an addition to the expansive, linear story told with fancy methods – including impressive cutscenes. The visuals of the game are one of its great advantages – despite the low budget, the game looks very impressively.

A mobile ski jumping simulator with a number of managerial features. The game, developed by Vivid Games, allows us to create a custom player from scratch and lead him through the world of ski jumping. Our duties include buying equipment and planning a workout schedule, as well as taking part in further competitions, systematically increasing our statistics. The jumping itself is quite complicated – the player has to focus on each section (inrun, take-off, flight, and landing), as the judges grade the style of the jump following these guidelines. The jumps are also affected by wind and dynamic weather conditions. Unfortunately, the game lacks the official license of ski jumping events, which leaves us with placeholder names of all participants. We are left with appealing visuals and intuitive controls employing the touch controls or built-in gyroscope.

As a result of a great catastrophe however, the old order of things collapsed - huge motherships with survivors hibernated on-board became the only remnants of the old civilization. The player assumes the role of a Consul of one of said empires, and their goal is to rebuild the strength of their nation. Mechanics-wise, Novus Aeterno is based on the fundamentals of classic MMORTS games, though it does not divide the experience into sessions, instances, matches, or closed maps. Instead, everything happens in a constantly evolving universe, where the players have complete freedom of action and compete against one another only where and when they want to.

The adventure begins from creating a character and selecting one of the five diverse classes in order to set off to explore the world, complete quests assigned by NPCs, and fight numerous foes – combat is turn based and during a battle, the player controls their character and their companions. An important aspect of the game is the development of the ship owned by the player. The game features pleasant cartoonish visuals and emphasizes the players’ safety – parents can choose which elements of the game their children can access.

We clash with hordes of dinosaurs on an alien planet divided into three vast locations. During the gameplay, we can either act alone or gang-up into a five-man team. Each of the players assumes the role of a character representing one of the three classes – Assault, Support, or Recon, which use a wide range of weapons and gadgets assigned to each class. Vehicles are an additional highlight – we can choose from buggies, mechs, tanks, or flying machines. By completing tasks and killing enemies, we acquire credits which we can spend on new weapons, abilities, upgrades or vehicles, delivered to a spot of our choice. Despite the low-budget feel of the game, the visuals are pleasant, characterized by fresh colors and a huge number of special effects.

An official expansion pack for an economic strategy game Tropico 4 from 2011, which was created by Haemimont Games - a Hungarian developer. Again, the player assumes the role of a dictator ruling a small banana republic. In a new story campaign, comprised of 12 different missions, El Presidente's task is to modernize their country, which can get interrupted by treacherous rebels. Switching the time period to the titular modern times resulted in addition of completely new elements, such as the Internet, terrorist organizations, global finance markets or space flights. What's more, the mechanics behind the in-game economy and transportation were upgraded. All of the above is complemented by more than thirty new buildings and structures, as well as modernized versions of buildings that make an appearance in the core game. The aspect of ruling the country directly was enriched with 10 additional edicts allowing the player to restrict the access to the internet or declare a state of emergency for instance.
