Over the span of the six new mini-campaigns the players can lead one of the five invading armies. The only exception is the sixth campaign, where the five forces are engaged on one map in a final battle over the dominion of the kingdom of Channon. The title also introduces numerous novelties, such as previously unavailable heroes, new units and artifacts, five brand new locations, an original soundtrack and an enhanced map editor.
