Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon

A combination of first-person shooter and survival horror developed by Monolith Productions. The game's protagonist belongs to the eponymous First Encounter Assault Recon – special anti-terrorist unit, which trains its members not only in conventional tactics, but also develops their paranormal abilities. The Warriors

The Warriors' "Walking" brawl is another work of designers who created, among others, Manhunt and the popular Grand Theft Auto series. The game was created on the basis of a famous film, known in Poland under the title Warriors and shot by Walter Hill at the end of the 1970s.
Battlefield 2142

Another installment in the popular multiplayer FPS game series, developed since 2002 by Digital Illusions and EA. Following the historical themes and the fictional conflict from Battlefield 2, this time the game takes place in the future—in the year 2142, to be exact, after a devastating nuclear disaster, which resulted in a new ice age. There's a new conflict involving two powerful factions: the joint European-American forces and the Russian-Arabic-Indian coalition.
Half-Life 2: Episode One

The first expansion to Half-Life 2. Its action takes place directly after the events shown in the predecessor and expands the storyline with new plots. Once more the player becomes the main protagonist of the series: Gordon Freeman, accompanied, once again, by Alyx Vance. The two characters are tasked with escaping from an alien citadel – the place where the basic version of the game ended.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker

A third-person perspective action game focused on online fights created by Soleil, a Japanese studio directed by Katsunori Ehara. The game takes place in the universe known from the manga series Naruto and its animated adaptation. The players control ninja warriors, that have superhuman abilities, and participate in battles of small teams.
Everspace 2

Everspace 2 is a sequel to the space shooter with RPG elements from 2017. The player explores the game's world (this time designed by hand) aboard a spaceship, completing quests. Progressing rewards us with better ships and upgrades, letting us face gradually greater challenges.
Far Cry 7

The seventh main installment of the best-selling series of first-person shooters from Ubisoft. The production is led by the veteran Drew Holmes. The game is rumored to feature drastic changes to the existing formula, moving away from some of the ideas from previous entries.

Ground Branch is a tactical shooter focused on multiplayer. The game focuses on realism and cooperation of players in a team. Usually, a single bullet is enough to kill and all weapons behave like in real life.
Homefront

A first-person shooter developed by KAOS Studios (Frontlines: Fuel of War). The scenario was written by John Milius, the screenwriter for Apocalypse Now. Homefront presents a vision of a near future where, after an economical crisis, the United States were suddenly attacked and eventually occupied by North Korea. The player assumes the role of a member of resistance and together with two companions he completes various missions aimed at the occupant.

Unreal Tournament (1999)

A first-person shooter based on the engine of the bestselling game Unreal. The title was developed by Digital Extremes and focuses on online battles between players on futuristic arenas. In Unreal Tournament the players can compete in several gameplay modes – deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, domination, last man standing, and assault. Each mode is different from the remaining ones. There aren’t many weapons available, but each one can be used in two ways.

Battlefield Vietnam

As its title suggests, Battlefield Vietnam takes place during the Vietnam War, allowing you to play as a member of the U.S. Army or a Vietnamese soldier, and participate in the series of battles spanning from 1964 to 1975. The mechanics of the game are virtually the same as its predecessor's, being a combination of strategy with FPS elements.
Duke Nukem 3D
