The Surge 2 is a three-dimensional TPP action RPG in which we play as a man equipped with a powerful exoskeleton. This title is set in the dark SF world, in which man-made technology turned against him. This production is a continuation of The Surge from 2017 and its authors are the developers from Deck 13 (also known from cooperation with CI Games on Lords of the Fallen).
The action of The Surge 2 is set in a dark universe in the convention of science fiction, in which people have significantly developed technology and started to rely more and more on machines. Unfortunately, creations do not always listen to their creators, sometimes leading to dramatic events.
The Surge 2 is a third-person action RPG modelled on such titles as Dark Souls, Demon Souls or Lords of the Fallen (which are characterized by high level of difficulty), but introducing several new solutions to the proven formula. In the game we travel through three-dimensional locations and fight against enemies, mostly using various weapons.
A characteristic element of The Surge 2 is the ability to aim at specific parts of enemies, such as limbs. This enables us to hit the weak points and stun the enemies, which opens the way for spectacular finishing blows. In addition, chopped off "body" part (enemies are usually machines) can be used for our own purposes, using an extensive system of crafting, which enables us to modify armour and weapons.
The Surge 2 is a single player game only.
The Surge 2 is powered by Deck 13's proprietary game engine. The game offers much larger and more visually impressive locations than part one. The futuristic atmosphere also makes a good impression.
