“Conductors use [blank] to direct orchestra” is the third question in this week’s Cookie Jam event. If you don’t have any idea how to solve it, we will help you.

Buzzwords are back. Of course, Cookie Jam players are not surprised by this, as it is a weekly event. It is a great opportunity to learn some new words (just like Wordle, which we have begun to cover recently, feel free to take a look at today’s hint – July 25) and earn some of these premium rewards without paying real money. It seems that this time we have to face some difficult questions. After answering “Springboard, platform, synchronized” and “Small boat you paddle,” we need to solve another puzzle – “Conductors use… to direct orchestra.” Are you ready for the answer.
In many cases Buzzwords have a theme, which is true for at least most questions. This time, though, it seems that there is none. At least I don’t see it. It is true that the first 2 questions were somehow connected to water. However, this one and the next are definitely not. Now, we need to solve the crossword about music. Luckily, while I don’t know much about orchestras, the question was general enough for me to find the solution in my head quite quickly.
Yes, batons are the sticks that conductors hold to show the orchestra clearly what do they need to do. Of course, not all conductors use them. In these cases, they put more emphasis on the hands’ movements. The need for something to help coordinate musicians is quite old. The first report of someone using a conducting staff is from ancient Greece, 709 BC.
Now, with this knowledge, you can proceed to the next question, which is “Lemon’s huge rough cousin.” This one was also quite difficult for me. Don’t be discouraged though, as we have prepared the guide for you. Good luck.
