Fans of the Battlefield franchise will be able to jump into Battlefield 6 as early as next week, but the full release date will take another few months.
Today, many streamers and content creators had the opportunity to play Battlefield 6 publicly for the first time. Today’s presentation also revealed Battlefield 6’s release date, confirming what was already predicted by players last week after some information appeared to have been accidentally leaked by EA themselves. But aside from the release date confirmed to be October 10th, 2025, players also have an open beta to look forward to on August 7th for those with Early Access or August 9th for everyone else.
The last few months have felt like nothing but leaks from the Battlefield 6 front. Gameplay leaked several times, as recently as earlier today, the maps were revealed just a few days ago, and of course, the release date was accidentally made evident in a post from EA directly. But now, all of that is behind us. Battlefield 6 has a release date in October, and players will be able to jump into the open beta next weekend.
The livestream has just wrapped up at the time of writing, so there will be several hours of content to catch up on if you are interested in learning everything you can about Battlefield 6. Pre-orders are available now, and it won’t reach the $80 precedent set by Nintendo with Mario Kart World. But if you want to start playing in the open beta earlier than most, check out a stream on Twitch today to get an Early Access drop. If you get access, you’ll be able to start playing on August 7th, rather than August 9th.
EA has high expectations for Battlefield 6. For now, we’ll have to wait to see how people react to today’s livestreamed gameplay. The trailers are full of nonstop action, helicopter crashes, crumbling buildings, and more. It will be interesting to see if the actual gameplay lives up to that.
