Bethesda Gives Away Gifts; Fallout 76 for Free

Bethesda intends to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fallout series throughout October. To mark the occasion, players will be treated to a number of free items. In addition, new content will be added to Fallout Shelter - for the first time in four years.

The Fallout series, started by Interplay Entertainment and Black Isle Studios is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary. The actual birthday was on September 30 - for on this day, way back in 1997, saw the release of the first Fallout. However, that doesn't stop Bethesda - currently holding the rights to the brand and developing it - from celebrating a quarter-century of the post-apocalyptic series throughout October.

On this occasion, players can expect the following attractions:

  • Subscribers to the Prime Gaming service can currently pick up the basic version of Fallout 76 (along with Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Total War: Warhammer II) for free;
  • from now until October 11, you can also check out Fallout 76 along with the latest expedition, The Pitt, completely free of charge;
  • Xbox Game Pass subscribers, which also offers Fallout 76, on the other hand, can gain free monthly access to Fallout 1st - an in-game premium service that provides additional adventures, cosmetic items and more (details are described here).

In addition, Bethesda encourages you to keep an eye on its social media, where there will be information about the attractions planned for players to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Fallout. It was announced, for example, that Fallout Shelter will soon receive fresh content - for the first time in about four years. You can also follow the news on the event's website.
