Sony increases PS Plus fees in Latin America and Australia. Here’s a look at the new rates and April game additions. Hogwarts Legacy and Blue Prince in PS Plus Extra are promising highlights.
Price hikes are everywhere these days, so this shouldn’t be a surprise, but it’s still disappointing. All we wanted was to play games at a fair price, yet the cost keeps going up. Remember when a full year of PlayStation Plus was just $60 in the U.S. back in 2020? You got a solid mix of new and classic games – those were the days. That said, with game prices rising (mark my words, $100 per title is coming), a full year of PS Plus Premium still offers decent value.
Starting April 16, 2025, Sony is raising PlayStation Plus prices across Latin America and Australia. The price hike affects all three tiers (Essential, Extra, and Premium) for monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
Here are the countries impacted:
If you're already subscribed, don’t worry, the new pricing won’t hit your account until your next billing date after June 24. However, any changes to your membership after April 16 – like upgrading, downgrading, or extending your plan – will be charged at the new rates.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
