Control - Hardware Requirements and Ray Tracing Support

We learned the PC hardware requirements of Control, Remedy Entertainment's latest work, as well as information related to the game's support of the ray tracing technology. The game will go on sale at the end of August, this year. It will only be available on PCs through Epic Games Store.

Control is the latest game of the award-winning Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment. The game was announced at last year's E3 fair and since then has aroused considerable interest among fans of previous works of the team. The Control's page on Epic Games Store, which on PCs will be the only platform selling the game, provides information about its minimum and recommended hardware requirements. In addition to the standard configuration, developers have also included information about graphics cards, which are recommended for playing with ray tracing enabled. The original game engine, called Northlight Engine, supports this extremely spectacular technology, the implementation of which we have already seen in the recently-published gameplay footage.

Control - minimum hardware requirements

  1. OS: Windows 7, 8 or 10 (64-bit versions)
  2. CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or better
  3. RAM: 8 GB
  4. GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD RX580 or better. To play with ray tracing enabled you must have at least GeForce RTX 2060.
  5. DirectX: 11

Control - recommended hardware requirements

  1. OS: Windows 7, 8 or 10 (64-bit versions)
  2. CPU: Intel Core i5-8600K / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or better
  3. RAM: 16 GB
  4. GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti / AMD Radeon VII or better. A GeForce RTX 2080 card is recommended to support ray tracing technology.
  5. DirectX:11 and 12

Additional game features: support for 21:9 aspect ratio and G-sync and Freesync technologies

Control will hit the shelves on August 27, this year. The game will be released on PCs, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PC version of the game can bepreordered.
