Cultic Delighted Fans of Classic FPS

Yesterday's launch of Cultic was quite a success. The game delighted fans of classic FPS games, especially Blood.

Yesterday marked the release of Cultic, the FPS from the Jasozz Games studio, for which crowds of fans of retro-shooters have been waiting. All indications are that the launch was quite a success.

  1. Among Steam user reviews, as many as 98% praise this title, which is categorized as a "very positive" reception.
  2. Typically, such a percentage would result in an "overwhelmingly positive" designation, but more reviews are needed to earn such a title - the game currently has 164 of them.
  3. Those who purchased Cultic are thus overwhelmingly delighted. Below we cite sample comments from the reviews.

"I can't believe that Blood got a sequel 25 years later."

"By buying this game, you automatically join the cult of boomer shooter connoisseurs.

Good gameplay, nice retro graphics and cool level design.

The almighty Caleb would be proud.

I recommend."

"The title looks like a total sequel to Blood, the cultists here are almost identical to those depicted in the aforementioned series, but that's not the only clue.

We are a detective who stumbles upon a trail of missing people and flies hastily to investigate the situation before it's too late. Unlucky for him, he ends up piled along with others who didn't have much luck.

And this is where we get into the action. Graphically, it looks spectacular for a retr; it's dark and grotesque. These are not the only advantages of Cultic - the game is divided into several segments that perfectly reflect symbiosis.

What deserves praise is the really carefully hidden secrets... Where we wouldn't think to look acutely there is something that should be in our pocket.

In a word, there is no need to think about it, I bought it instantly without reading any opinions as a lover of retroshooters and what happened? I am in love!

The devs clearly aimed at fans of the 1997 shooter Blood and, judging by these reviews, they perfectly succeeded in recreating the atmosphere of this classic. This is all the more impressive given that the official sequel in the form of Blood II: The Chosen was considered by many to be a great disappointment. That's why, by the way, reviews often include texts like "Blood has finally received a sequel" - a humorous reference to the fact that some fans of the brand pretend Blood II: The Chosen never happened.

Cultic is not, however, a proposition only for fans of Blood. It is simply an exquisite retro FPS with a heavy atmosphere, a variety of maps and interesting challenges. By the way, you don't have to take other players' ratings at their word. An extensive demo is available on Steam all the time, which enables you to check out the game before deciding to buy it.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that Cultic is rather cheap. The released version is the so-called Chapter One, offering 10 maps and a survival mode. The second chapter of the story will be made available in some time as a standalone production. In addition to the game itself, an excellent soundtrack can also be purchased on Steam.
