Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Upscaled to 8K

A video showing the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 in 8K was released online. Youtuber Ani HVX used machine learning to boost the resolution of the footage released on gamescom 2019.

Cyberpunk 2077 may be "breathtaking", but for now it is mostly absent.

CD Projekt RED does not spoil us with the materials from Cyberpunk 2077. Most of the recent reports were not even about the game itself and it's easy to forget about earlier presentations. So maybe we should refresh our memory with the material published by Preston "Ani HVX" Dortsch on YouTube? The modder spent 21 hours on upscaling the gameplay preentation from last year's gamescom to 8K resolution. For this purpose, he used the so-called AI Upscaling, i.e. image scaling using machine learning. You can see the effect on the video below.

If you want to see how your PC can cope with such a challenge, Ani HVX has shared the video on Google Disc. Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on September 17 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will later be released on the Xbox Series X console, which, according to Microsoft, will enable us to play in 8K. So you can take Ani HVX's footage as a foretaste of what Cyberpunk 2077 will offer on Redmond giant's new platform.
