Dark Knight Beats Corona and Returns to the Set

Robert Pattinson defeated the coronavirus and returns to the set of his latest Batman movie. The work can finally proceed at full speed, which is great news for the fans.

Pattinson recovered and went straight back to the set.

At the beginning of September we reported information of a positive coronavirus test result of Robert Pattinson. The news was the best example of what a risk the decision of returning to the set poses, and let's recall that the actor is to play the lead in the upcoming Batman movie directed by Matt Reeves. His illness stopped the production and Pattinson himself had to spend two weeks in strict quarantine. We already know that the star has recovered and the filming has resumed (via Variety).

Maybe no new scene has been shot recently as the cameras were still off, but some of the crew were not idle and were preparing the set in advance. Variety found out about the details of the restarting of work on set from a Warner Bros. spokesman who confirmed everything:

“Following a hiatus for COVID 19 quarantine precautions, filming has now resumed on ‘The Batman’ in the U.K.,”

Apart from Robert Pattinson, Paul Dano (Riddler), Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman), Colin Farrell (Penguin), Andy Serkis (Alfred), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon) and John Turturro (Carmine Falcone) also returned to the set. The film's release date is scheduled for October 1, 2021, but it is not known if it will not change due to the coronavirus pandemic.
