Paralyzed Streamer Completed Elden Ring Using His Breath

A streamer from China completed Elden Ring despite being paralyzed. He accomplished this by using a special controller that relies on his breathing to move the avatar.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Paralyzed streamer from China has completed Elden Ring;
  • Zhu Mingjun did this by using a special controller;
  • The streamer controlled the movements of the character with his breath.

If Elden Ring gives you difficulties even if you use classic controllers, then I have bad news for you. One player completed the game using only his breath.

That person is Zhu Mingjun, a Chinese streamer who has been paralyzed since 2013. However, this did not prevent him from defeating all the bosses in FromSoftware's latest game (via PC Gamer).

Outstanding achievement of paralyzed streamer

Zhu Mingjun publishes videos on BiliBili, a popular Chinese streaming website. However, he was not always a streamer. Initially, he worked as a firefighter. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious injury in 2013, falling from a height while exercising.

Mingjun was paralysed from the neck down and could not even speak for a long time. Over time, he regained the ability to speak, and a special mouth-operated controller helps him in everyday life.

This is the reason why he is also able to play video games. The system consists of two tubes that Mingjun blows into in appropriate sequences. With the right controller programming, the Chinese streamer can perform even the most complicated moves in the game.

Recently he became interested in the latest production of FromSoftware. It did not cause him too many problems and he managed to complete it, even defeating the most demanding bosses (video presenting his gameplay can be found here).

Not only entertainment

It is worth mentioning that streaming is not just a way for Zhu Mingjun to pass the time.

In an interview with South China Morning Post he admitted that this activity has helped him a lot in life. Thanks to the recognition from the audience, he has become more confident and is trying to help other people who are in the same situation as him.

He also revealed that streaming has enabled him to make many new friends. Despite his tough life situation, he stated that he is happy and his business gives him a lot of satisfaction.
