Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Announced

DLC for Elden Ring has been announced. FromSoftware invites players to new adventures in the Lands Between.

Finally! More than a year after the release of the base game, FromSoftware has officially announced a DLC for Elden Ring. It is titled Shadow of the Erdtree and... that's pretty much all know about it for now.

A few moments ago the brand's Twitter account posted a tweet, informing that the expansion is being developed, and the developers hope that players are looking forward to more adventures in the Lands Between. The latter is more than certain - the questions about the DLC began to appear immediately after the game's release, which took place on February 25, 2022.

It can be said that with this announcement FromSoftware celebrates the first anniversary of its masterpiece (dozens of game of the year titles support this). At the same time, it is a good way to celebrate 20 million copies of the game sold. This result was boasted by the developer last week.

For now, we can only speculate about where and when the action of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will be set. The tree seen in the graphic above resembles the one seen in Depths. This would suggest a move to the past, to a time when Godwyn the Golden was still alive. However, this is only a guess - we will have to wait for details.

Shadow of the Erdtree is likely to be released on the same platforms as the base gane, namely PC, PS4, PS5, XONE and XSX/S.
