In May this year, the teaser of Phoenix Program - a fan-made film set in the universe of the well-known pen&paper RPG, as well as CD Projekt RED's upcoming game - aroused a lot of excitement among those waiting for the release of Cyberpunk 2077. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to wait a little bit for the official launch of the movie, but last weekend it eventually launched on YouTube. You can watch it below.
The above film, which the creators describe as "Johnny Silverhand meets Matrix meets John Wick meets video games" was created by Vi-Dan Tran, known for his collaborations with Jack Chan, among others. The film features a group of cosplayers and stuntmen. The role of the distinc frontman of the fictional band Samurai is played by Ben "Maul Cosplay" Bergmann. He has performed as e.g. the witcher Geralt or Darth Maul.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on December 10, this Thursday. The first reviews of the game are already available.
