Game of Thrones Season 8 air date revealed

The air date of the final season of Game of Thrones is here.

3 months - that's how much we still have to wait for the first episode of the final season of Game of Thrones. HBO released a new teaser of the last episodes of the fantasy show based on George R.R. Martin's novels, thanks to which we got to know the exact premiere date of the eighth season.

The final battle for the throne and the future of Westeros will begin on April 14, 2019. Unfortunately, the trailer does not show any new footage. Instead, it offers a nice summary of what the remaining Starks will have to face in the final clash.

The eighth season of Game of Thrones will consist of only six episodes. As a compensation for the reduction in the number of episodes is to be their extended run time (they are to be more „like movies” and an impressive budget, which will manifest itself not only in the high concentration of dragons on the screen, but also in the form of impressive battle scenes – one of them took the production team as long as 55 days to shoot.

The years have taught the young wolves how to fight, plot, and kill.

We already know that the finale of Game of Thrones will not be a final farewell to Westeros. HBO is working on several spin-offs taking place in the same universe. The action of the closest of them, dubbes for now The Long Night, will take place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones and will be be starring Naomi Watts and Jamie Campbell Bower.
