Gaming's Biggest Failures of Last 12 Years in One Picture

Reddit users recall the biggest failures of recent years. This is helped by a popular image that lists the most disappointing games, counting from 2010.

2022 is starting to pick up steam in terms of big launches. Not all of the highly anticipated games will be successful. Reddit started a thread with the biggest failures of recent years, and it's become a hot topic on the website. Its creator has chosen one or two high-profile titles for each year (counting from 2010) that failed to live up to expectations.

The choices are up to debate (for example, 2019 should also include Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint), but overall the list is unlikely to cause much controversy. By the way, it provides an interesting look into the past, reminding us of the biggest disappointments.

It is worth noting that the reception of some of these games has changed over time. No Man's Sky and Final Fantasy XIV Online have been repaired by the developers and became respectable titles today. Also Fallout 76 has been brought up to a satisfactory level, as has Star Wars: Battlefront II. The reception of Cyberpunk 2077 is also improving..

Despite attempts, Evolve and Anthem has not been saved. In turn, Mass Effect: Andromeda turned out to be such a big failure that gamers started to appreciate Mass Effect 3.

Released in 2003, SimCity ended the history of the entire franchise - not only do we not have anything to expect from it in the near future, but the disappointment of fans was so great that the series was dethroned in its category and currently Cities: Skylines is considered the leader of the city builder strategy genre.

We are curious what your reaction to this list is. Do you agree with it? Do you think some other titles should be present? Or maybe you think that some of the entries did not deserve to be included? I'm personally very fond of Watch Dogs and Batman: Arkham Knight.
