New footage from God of War: Ragnarok has appeared online. It is a video featuring numerous combat scenes and tidbits from the developers.
Sony continues to hype up the gamers on the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok. This time, a lengthy nine-minute video entitled "Combat and Enemies Elevated" has been made available. It focuses primarily on animations, the combat system and enemies. You can watch the video below.
In the video, the developers from Santa Monica Studio point out how developed the God of War: Ragnarok is compared to the previous installment from 2018. According to the game's lead combat system designer, Stephen Oyarijivbie:
"After our last game, we heard that the community really wanted a greater variety of minibosses, monsters and other enemies. And this time we paid more attention to it."
Examples of this diversity can be seen in the material in question; different enemies are to appear in each of the Nine Worlds. GoW: Ragnarok will also introduce more weapons and attacks - such as an attack available when falling from higher platforms, or one that can be launched after a thrown axe bounces off an enemy's shield. In addition, the developers mention Kratos' son, Atreus, who is now more independent and has his own special powers. This translates into more complex and detailed animations of the boy.
The release of God of War: Ragnarok will take place on November 9, this year, on PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles, while on November 3 you'll read reviews from industry critics (including ours, of course).
