God of War: Ragnarok Said to Have Been Delayed Beyond 2021

More reports seem to confirm a longer wait for the sequel to God of War. Jason Schreier claims that the game's release was delayed a long time ago and we shouldn't expect its release in 2021.

After the enthusiastic reception of God of War, players immediately began looking forward to a sequel to the Norse adventures of Kratos. Although the next chapter of the saga was confirmed some time ago, apparently we will not see it this year. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier believesthat the new God of War has long since been delayed by Sony. He also stressed this in another post on Twitter.

This is another time when Schreier makes it clear that we shouldn't expect the return of Kratos and Arteus this year. He spoke in a similar (though even more ironic) tone after an interview with Jim Ryan appeared in February. At the time, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment spoke about the company's release plans for this year, mentioning Horizon: Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal. The fact that he did not mention the new God of War suggested that the game would debut at a later date.

Not that it was a big surprise, since ever since Sony Santa Monica's announcement the studio has not mentioned this title, and otherwise it is known that the coronavirus pandemic hinders the work of game developers. Of course, we don't know if the game was even planned for 2021 release, or if these - let's be honest - speculations and leaks are true. However, this is irrelevant to the current situation, and fans have no choice but to be patient. Or, if rumors are to be believed, wait for the PC release of God of War and other Sony exclusives.
