Horizon: Zero Dawn Runs Great on PS5 After 60 FPS Update

At the beginning of gamescom we wrote that Guerrilla Games had prepared a patch for Horizon: Zero Dawn unlocking 60 fps on PlayStation 5. Digital Foundry's analysis indicated that the game on the console goes toe to toe with the PC version in terms of visuals.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is an eye-popping title that received a dedicated update for PlayStation 5 during gamescom, bringing Guerrilla Games' title up to 60 fps and up to par with the ultra settings on PC. Today, Digital Foundry published a detailed analysis of the new version of the game, which shows the changes that were introduced.

The update takes advantage of the 9th-gen console's powerful components. Digital Foundry compares the look of Horizon: Zero Dawn on PlayStation 4 Pro, PS5 and PC. The differences between the latter two platforms are minimal.

This excellent game by Guerrilla Games will soon live to see a sequel. Horizon: Forbidden West will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 18, 2022.
