Is DBD and FNAF Crossover Possible? Developers Answer

Dead by Daylight is a popular asymmetrical horror game. Behaviour Interactive is constantly developing its beloved child and adds more content. The upcoming DLC will introduce Alan Wake as a survivor to this dark universe. However, the community is exceptionally looking forward to one particular franchise – Five Nights at Freddy's. FNAF in DBD

Five Nights at Freddy's is one of the biggest horror franchises. So, it shouldn't be a surprise that people would love to see familiar characters from this series in Dead By Daylight. A few years ago, there was even a fan project that showed how a Chapter from FNAF in DBD might look like.

However, what is the chance that characters from FNAF will actually come to DBD? The answer to this is quite complicated.

1. During an AMA on Reddit, one of the DBD developers, when asked "Will Five Nights at Freddy's ever appear in Dead by Daylight in the near future?", replied "Never say never!". This may suggest that Behaviour Interactive is considering acquiring a license for the franchise.
2. On the other hand, FNAF does not appear as a guest in other games. Scott Cawthon himself doesn’t seem to be very interested in granting licenses. This was demonstrated with Fall Guys, when he refused Mediatonic, explaining that he wanted to focus on other projects.

Of course, in the case of DBD, the situation may be different. At the moment, however, there is no evidence suggesting that FNAF will come to the popular multiplayer horror game from Behaviour Interactive.
