Minecraft After Caves & Cliffs Update - Mojang Continues to Develop the Game

Tests of version 1.17.1 have begun in Minecraft: Java Edition, and the first update following the release of Caves & Cliffs should debut in the coming weeks.

Following the release of new content in the first part of the Caves & Cliffs Update, Mojang is returning to smaller updates for Minecraft. The developersreleased update 1.17.1 for the Java Edition on the game's test server as a so-called "pre-release". To gain access to it, you need to enable snapshots in the Installations section of the game client. Please note, however, that pre-release updates may cause you to lose your world in Minecraft .. Therefore, it is better to make a backup copy of your creation before starting to play or to run sessions with the update from a separate folder.

As you can easily guess, the first update after the release of Caves &; Cliffs will not be rich in new content, if not counting the appearance of candles in Bedrock Edition (that is, on consoles and in one of the two available PC editions). The team at Mojang is focusing on polishing the innovations introduced in version 1.17. The improvements include limiting the availability of blue axolotls for breeding, which will also finally give a chance (albeit a modest one) to get young screaming goats from pairing up "peaceful" individuals of these animals. The chance to get copper bars from Drowned will also increase.

In addition to the above, there are various technical fixes, for example, for spectral blocks (which could be "created" with snow powder and pistons or trays) and items (by malfunctioning of the /item command). For bigger news we'll have to wait until the release of the second part of Caves & Cliffs Update. This one will focus on modifying the way the world is generated Minecraft, in which we will finally see the mountains and rivers from the real life. Version 1.17.1 should debut in the next few weeks.
