Fan Spends 30 Hours Recreating Photo in Minecraft

Minecraft fans are constantly showing their determination and creativity. The latest example was provided by Reddit user Toppakew, who spent 30 hours faithfully recreating a photo of a peacock.

If we evaluate modern games in terms of graphics, Minecraft is definitely not among the prettiest productions on the market. Leaving aside the issues of art style, however, it is in this game that players create numerous amazing, interesting and beautiful works, sometimes devoting weeks, months or even years of work. The work of user Toppakew was not created for such a long time, but it is no less impressive. The Reddit user spent almost 30 hours to recreate the photo of a peacock as faithfully as possible using Minecraft blocks. You can check out the effect and the (greatly accelerated) workflow on the material below.

In theory we've already seen similar projects, but it often happens that in reality their creators simply convert the image or even redraw it in a graphics program and artificially add Minecraft interface. Toppakew, on the other hand, apparently built the peacock (or at least its head) virtually from scratch. The only help was... a second Minecraft account. The internet user used it to preview his creation from afar, as you can see in the video.

It's not the first time for Toppakew, as he used to "draw" human silhouettes or portraits (for example of Iron Man). Peacock was supposed to be a new challenge for the user, which - as far as we can judge it - he passed with flying colors. Perhaps he will set himself another task after the debut of the big Caves & Cliffs update, because this one - judging by the information and numerous snapshots released so far - will open up a ton of new possibilities for the Minecraft community.
