MisBits Will Go Free-to-play This Weekend

This weekend, the online action game MisBits will switch to free-to-play model. The creators gave the launch date of the free-to-play version and informed what attractions they have prepared for those who have bought the paid edition in Steam Early Access.

Last month, MisBits debuted in Steam Early Access.
In a nutshell:
  1. MisBits is switching to free-to-play;
  2. The free version with microtransaction will launch on April 4;
  3. Those who bought the game earlier will receive a set of items and virtual currency.

The online action game MisBits will soon switch to free-to-play model. The devs informed that the game will be released on April 4 as a free title with microtransactions. Let us remind that the project is available only on PC. Since March 5, this year, the early version is sold as part of Steam's Early Access. In the future the creators also want to develop releases for other hardware platforms.

Those who have purchased MisBits will receive a set of virtual items for use in character creation as compensation, including Diablo and Shadow heads, Tiki skin and a $15 worth of currency for use in the in-game store. In addition, they will be able to invite friends to start playing for free before April 4.

On April 4, the developers also intend to announce new activities that will make the game more attractive. For now we know about them only that they will be focused on competition with other players.

When MisBits debuted in Steam Early Access a month ago, the devs informed that the game will spend at least 3-4 months in early access. It is not known whether switching to the freemium model will extend this period.

The developers want to introduce a lot of new content to the game in the coming months, including additional modes, maps, weapons, items and body parts to build toys that are controlled by the players while playing. Switching to free-to-play should provide the community with a solid shot of fresh blood and make it easier for developers to implement their development plans.
