Moon Knight's Multiple Personalities Will Play Major Role in the Show

The long-awaited Moon Knight series, apart from Batman-style action, will deliver a complex theme of the main character's mental illness, which is one of the most interesting elements of the series.

One of the series belonging to the Marvel Universe and heading for Disney+, namely Moon Knight, will resemble Batman's cinematic adventures, but only in the context of combat scenes. According to Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige, the main character of the series, Marc Spector, will be a typical action movie hero who "jumps from buildings and gets into fights. The key and one of the unique aspects of the series is to be the protagonist's mental illness.

Marc Spector's case is rooted not only in his mind, where he hosts four different personalities, but is also a sign of a pact with Egyptian moon god Khonshu, who saved him from death at the hands of a terrorist. The personalities are the four domains of the aforementioned deity: The Pathfinder, The Embracer, The Defender and The Watcher of Overnight Travelers. Each of them is a reflection of Moon Knight's personality. Spencer experiences periodic identity disorders, assimilating the personalities and slowly embracing their presence. Certainly, the character's mental illness will be one of the most interesting threads in the show.

It is also worth adding that Oscar Isaac is to play the main protagonist. He is known for his performance in Inside Llewyn Davis, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, and for his role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The actor hasn't signed a contract with MCU yet, but many fans are hoping that the contract will be finalized and the crew responsible for Moon Knight will start shooting.
