RPG My Time at Sandrock Launches in Early Access

My Time at Sandrock debuted in early access. The game has some technical problems, but it does not prevent it from selling like hotcakes.

My Time at Sandrock, an agricultural RPG by Pathea Games and a sequel to the popular My Time at Portia from 2019, has debuted on the market.

My Time at Sandrock launch

The game is sold as Early Access.

  1. The game is available on on Steam and Epic Games Store.
  2. The price is $20. The full version will be more expensive.
  3. My Time at Sandrock is currently only available on PC, but there are also plans for releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

First impressions are mixed, but the game sells like hotcakes

The game has already managed to get a lot of player reviews on Steam. Only 67% of them are positive, however, which is categorized as "mixed reception". Looking at the reviews, the main problem is the low level of technical refinement.

However, the shortcomings are not discouraging the players. At the time of writing My Time at Sandrock is on the first place of Steam's global bestseller list.

The game also achieves good activity results. Only a few hours have passed since the release, and the game is currently being played by 10,696 people at the same time. My Time at Portia's record is 13 thousand, so the sequel should have no problems with beating it.

Development plans for early access

The early access period is supposed to last about 12 months. During this time we can expect, among others:

  1. new missions,
  2. completion of the story campaign (Early Access version offers only the first act),
  3. improvements to the virtual world,
  4. multiplayer mode,
  5. new music tracks,
  6. graphic improvements,
  7. technical improvements.
