New Cover of Spawn Pays a Beautiful Tribute to Black Panther

Todd McFarlane presented the cover for the next issue of Spawn, where the main character performs the iconic gesture, made famous by the Black Panther movie. This is another artistic tribute to Chadwick Boseman.

Spawn supports the people of Wakanda.

On October 28, 2020 the 311th issue of Spawn will appear on sale. Its main character, like the Black Panther, represents the African-American minority in the superhero world. The character's creator, Todd McFarlane, has prepared a special alternative cover for the upcoming issue, in which we see Al Simmons performing the "Wakanda forever" gesture. (in addition, the characteristic skulls were replaced by panthers). This is, of course, an open reference to Marvel's film and, at the same time, a tribute to the recently deceased Chadwick Boseman, as marked on top of the cover.

Wakanda forever!

His adventure with journalism began with a personal blog, the name of which is no longer worth quoting. Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out.
