New World Will Gain Variety in Endgame and Minor Fixes in February

Developers at Amazon Game Studios talked about New World's upcoming development plans in a recently released video. In February, the developers are expected to focus mainly on „tweaking and ironing out the game”.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Developers from Amazon Game Studios have shared a short-term roadmap for New World;
  2. Later this month the game will see addition of modifiers to add variety to endgame;
  3. For February, the developers do not plan any revolutionary changes, they want to focus rather on the prudent improvement of the game's condition.

The developers working on New World released a video yesterday, in which they talk about development plans for their MMORPG. Despite the fact that January is slowly coming to an end, later this month the game will introduce expedition modifiers will be added to the game this month, bringing more variety to endgame activities. Before the beginning of February we can also expect additional opportunities to upgrade our equipment above level 600.

The developers talked about the solutions tested in PTR (Public Test Realm) this month and about the new features that will appear during the tests in February. Those expecting to see new features soon, however, will be disappointed. The developers admitted that in February they will mainly focus on fixing existing bugs and that they want to give themselves more time to avoid rash decisions with new updates.

It was also announced that players will be provided with another character transfer token when the work on merging worlds is completed. However, we still don't know when exactly this will happen; we only got an assurance that the developers are working hard on it.

The team also touched on topics such as protecting the game's economy, something New World has had a big problem with not so long ago. There was also talk of a faster ticketing system and an anti-cheat that will detect and ban cheaters and bots, which continue to plague the MMO from Amazon Game Studios.

You can learn more from the video posted above. Given that recently players have finally stopped leaving New World it's perhaps a good thing that the developers are not planning a revolution for the time being, instead focusing on improving the here and now.
