Square Enix has finally shared details about the title previously known as Project Athia. The company showed new gameplay and revealed the game's new title (Forspoken) and release date (2022) on PC and PlayStation 5.
We had to wait for a long time for more details about the new project by Luminous Studio. Only today Project Athia appeared on Square Enix's presentation as part of a short material revealing the new title - Forspoken. The video also includes fragments of gameplay and is available below.
The material, although short, reveals quite a lot. Forspoken will be a third-person action game (perhaps with RPG elements?), in which we'll control Frey Holland (actress Ella Balinska lent her voice and appearance), trying to survive in a dangerous world apparently combining fantasy with more contemporary realities. The game will emphasize narrative, but there's also definitely no shortage of open-world exploration and fighting dragons and other beasts with magic. Forspoken will be released in 2022 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
