PS5 Second-hand Sales Much Better Than Xbox Series X/S

On the aftermarket PlayStation 5 sells almost twice as well as Microsoft's competitors. Almost 60,000 copies of next-gen consoles have found their way to the StockX auction website.

Anyone who has tried to buy one of the next-gen consoles right after their launch knows how difficult it was. The device got sold out in a span of minutes. Unfortunately it wasn't just the result of great buyer interest. The PS5 and XSX/XSS were also selling so well thanks to customers/companies ordering larger quantities for later resale at higher price. In other words, the practice known as "scalping".

Of the mor popular auction services that help resell things over the Internet is StockX. According to the data provided by BusinessInsider, through its auctions as much as 60 buyers thousand may have found new consoles, with Sony devices accounting for 62%, leaving Microsoft with 38% share in (re)sales. At the same time, the average price of the PS5 is at the level of 900 dollars, and Xbox Series X - 730 dollars (prices in dollars without tax).
