Ratchet and Clank Soon for Free on PlayStation

Sony has decided to give away another game as part of the Play at Home initiative launched last year. From March 2 to April 1 you will be able to get a copy of Ratchet & Clank for free.

As you may remember, Sony's Play at Home initiative launched last April. As part of it, in order to encourage the players to stay at home and quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Japanese company decided to give away free digital copies of Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PlayStation 4. Now the company decided to continue the action. On the official PlayStation blog, Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, announced that between March and June, owners of Sony consoles can expect more free games and other attractions.

The first free title during this year's Play at Home will be Ratchet & Clank. This lovable 3D platform game from Insomniac Games, part of the acclaimed series, will be available for free on PlayStation Store on March 1 at 8:00 PM PT. It will remain free until March 31, 2021 at 8:00 PT. Unlike PlayStation Plus releases, once we pick up your copy of Ratchet & Clank as part of the campaign, it will remain in our collection forever.

In addition, from March 25 new subscribers to Wakanim (or Funimation in some countries) who own PlayStation Plus will be able to enjoy longer free access to the library of the anime offer.

What other games will be given away for free as part of the Play at Home initiative, and what other attractions await us, should be revealed soon. We'll be sure to let you know as soon as more information becomes available.
