We are still waiting for the premiere of the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, but it turns out that in the meantime fans will have the opportunity to watch a documentary show focused on behind the scenes of the popular production. The project is called Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian and will consist of eight episodes that will be released on Disney+ streaming service. The first episode will debut on May 4 and subsequent episodes will be released every Friday.

The host will be Jon Favreau, the main producer of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The documentary project will offer previously unavailable videos, interviews and discussions. Each episode will focus on a different aspect of the series. We will learn the process of creating practical effects, we will see how special effects and music were created, and the actors will tell us how they approached their roles.

Let's recall that Star Wars: The Mandalorian debuted on November 12, last year. It is the first live-action series set in the universe of Star Wars. Previously, fans had a chance to see several animated series from this brand. One of them, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will also end on May 4.

This date is known as Star Wars Day and we can expect the company to reveal new projects from the franchise on this occasion.

Last but not least, the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian is due to debut in October this year. The filming was finished last month, so it's possible that the creators will manage to keep the release date, although post-production may be slowed down by the coronavirus.
