The opportunity to see Harry and Hagrid from the HBO Max TV series together on screen is coming soon. However, it won't be in the Harry Potter TV show, but in a movie they previously starred in.
Ever since the Harry Potter TV series was announced and the first information began to appear, the actors began to attract growing interest from fans of the series who wanted to see them in action. However, we are still quite a long time away from the premiere of the TV show from HBO Max, as it isn’t due out until 2027, but there are other ways to see the artists who will appear in the production.
You can watch other titles featuring them. And one of the more interesting ones to reach for soon is Grow. Why? Because in it we will see not one actor, but two, who will later be seen in Harry Potter. Grow features Dominic McLaughlin, aka the series' Harry, and Nick Frost, who will be seen in the HBO Max production as Hagrid.
And the first opportunity to see the movie is coming soon, as it has been announced that Grow will premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. The first screening is scheduled for Saturday, August 16 at 12:45 p.m. The film is also scheduled to be screened on August 17-19. This will be the first opportunity to see Dominic McLaughlin and Nick Frost together on screen. Later in 2025 Grow is expected to be available on Sky Cinema and NOW, however the specific date isn’t yet known.
Grow is the story of an unruly girl who starts a new life with her tough aunt and discovers a supernatural talent that may help her win a local pumpkin-growing contest. The director of this family film is John McPhail. In a way, it will be seen as the first test of screen chemistry between Harry and Hagrid from HP TV series.
