Will Dreadzone be released on PS5 or Xbox? Let's talk about console ports

There hasn’t been better time for multiplatformity than it is today. It is less and less common to have games as, so-called, system sellers, nudging people to buy one console over the other. To back up that statement, we have Gears of War, legendary series owned by Microsoft, being released on the device of their biggest rival – Sony. That’s not all, as in “retaliation” Sony decided to make its most recent hit, Helldivers 2, available on Xbox. What’s more, both of those titles will be released on the same day. Such scenarios can bring tear to one’s eye, where gamers are unified, without any artificial borders. However, not all productions are so fast when it comes to being launched on multiple machines simultaneously. What about Dreadzone? Upcoming zombie survival production that is about to hit Early Access on Steam? Let’s see if the developers have plans for making it available on other platforms than PC, like Xbox or PS5.

Xbox and PS5 release of Dreadzone explained

Without a doubt, Dreadzone draws attention by its beautiful graphics, which contrast with dirty and rundown postapocalyptic environment ridden by zombies. This is a game awaited by many fans, who would like to enjoy it on a device of their choosing. However, it is not even available yet, as it’s scheduled to enter Early Access mid July 2025. Then what about Xbox and PS5 release? There is a huge playerbase on those devices that can’t wait to get their hands on this title.

There is good and bad news for people waiting for Dreadzone on other platforms than PC. The good news is that the developers do consider such an option, though the bad part is that they plan to realize it only after the EA period. This is a logical thing to do, as after the production is honed down it will be easier for the creators to assess their resources and focus on the actual port. It is common practice among smaller studios that need to carefully manage their means.

If the game’s release on Xbox or PS5 is really important to you, the best thing to do is to support the devs and let them know how significant it is. With more players voicing their opinions about the port, the higher it will be on Eshed studio’s priorities list.
