Joint Horde and Alliance Raids in New Update for WoW

Soon players belonging to Alliance and Horde will be able to join raids together. This change will be introduced in an upcoming update.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • World of Warcraft will offer an option for members of Horde and Alliance to play together;
  • This feature will be introduced as part of update 9.2.5;
  • It will enable cooperation during raids, dungeon crawling and ranked PvP.

There will soon be a revolutionary change in World of Warcraft. For the first time since the game's launch in 2004, players belonging to Horde and Alliance will be able to battle threats side by side. Developers are going to make available the option of cross-faction cooperation in some activities.

Until now, they didn't decide on such a step because, as the creators themselves claimed, the world of Warcraft is based on the conflict between humans and orcs. This division, however, makes it impossible for players belonging to opposite factions to interact with each other. In particular, attention has been paid to the situation when close friends choose other sides, losing the opportunity to play together.

So Blizzard decided to make some changes to the game. As part of update 9.2.5 the game will now enable Horde and Alliance members to work together in raids, dungeons, and ranked PvP. Players will be able to join these types of teams by sending each other direct invites or joining open groups via the search engine.

For now, these are the only changes related to this issue. Guilds will continue to include members of only one faction. Also when taking part in random activities we won't encounter "mixed" parties. As for now, we also do not know when update 9.2.5 will debut.
