The maps in Alan Wake 2 are presented in the form of optional collectibles. Finding this type of materials makes it much easier to navigate the game, and the interactive nature of the maps means that they change as new information is obtained. On this page of the guide, we will present the locations of all maps in Alan's story, so you won't get lost while traversing the dark spaces of The Dark Place.

How and why use the maps?

1. The lack of a map makes it very difficult to navigate the complex and dynamically changing area of The Dark Place. A constant preview showing Alan's current location helps to find one's way in the hostile environment.
2. Maps are interactive and constantly changing. Entering a new area can unlock a previously obscure part of the map, and meeting Sheriff Tim Breaker will reveal nearby collectibles on your map.
3. You will gain access to the maps by pressing the appropriate keyboard shortcut or in the Writer's Room .

TV studio map

You will find the map of the deserted studio after Alan's nightmare loops. After you get to the cafeteria, go to the corridor to the left of Ahti's janitor room. There will be a plan of the building hanging on one of the walls.

The Dark Place map

After leaving the studio and entering the streets of the dark version of New York, head towards the ringing phone. The map of the urban area is located immediately to the left of the telephone booth.

Map of metro tunnels

You can find the subway tunnel network map near the collapsed tunnel. The map is hanging on the wall right next to the save room. It is somewhat obscured by the doors, so it can be easily overlooked.

Oceanview Hotel Map

After reaching the hotel and meeting Zan, head to the elevator and go to the ground floor. Enter the room through the door behind the counter. To the left of the monitor, there will be a plan of the hotel hanging on the wall

Poet's Cinema Map

When you get to the theater, go around the snack counter located opposite the entrance. Go to the back room. On the wall, right next to the door to the room, you will find a map of the building.
