Alan Wake 2: How to pet the dog?
The game Alan Wake 2 allows you to pet a dog while playing the character Saga. From the guide you will learn who the mayor Setter is, where to find the dog to achieve The Nice Things in Life trophy, and how to use the Charm revealing collectibles.
One of the optional things to do in Alan Wake 2 is to find and pet the dog, for which you will be rewarded with an achievement called The Nice Things in Life and a unique Charm. The description from our guide explains how to find out the identity of Mayor Setter, when the dog appears in Watery and how to pet the animal while playing as Saga Anderson.
Finding the dog in Watery

- As you complete the chapters of Saga's story, you can find Mayor Setter's election campaign stands. Finding and examining them is completely optional - each such point hides a separate slogan of a candidate in the elections.

- When you first visit the Watery map in Return 3, you may hear a dog barking. However, you cannot locate the animal at that time.
- You have to advance in the game to the final part of Return 6, i.e. defeat Scratch - we have described it on a separate page of our guide.
- Do not proceed to the finale of Saga's story. Instead, you need to visit Watery again. After reaching the town, go to the Suomi Hall building.

- You will learn that Mayor Setter is the name of a dog. You can approach the stage and pressing the interaction button will cause Saga to pet the quadruped.
Charm for unlocking the trophy

For petting a dog, you will receive 2 rewards:
- Bronze trophy called The Nice Things in Life.
- Mayor Setter's Charm - place it in your inventory in one of the 3 charm slots. From now on, the game can help you locate collectibles and loot - they will appear on the map after entering a given region. Individual regions are separated from each other by borders. You have to step into each of them, but know that the game won't immediately reveal 100% of the secrets from the entire map.
