The Deserted Chalet is located on a small island in the starting region of Rygjafylke in Norway. This place is shown in the attached pictures.
After entering the chalet, you will find a closed chest. Eivor cannot use the locks. The only way to open the box will be to find the right key.
On the farm, you can find two notes with hints, although reading them is optional for finding the key.
Follow the tracks on the snow and choose the right path where the tracks fork.
The traces will lead you to the wolf lair, shown in the pictures above. Beat all wolves. If you don't want to risk fighting in close combat where you can be easily bitten, shoot the wolves from a distance.
After the fight, examine the corpse to find the key.
With the key you can return to the chest. Unfortunately, you will find "only" a bar of inglot of coal in it.
