Assassins Creed Valhalla: How to set fire to objects?
Some objects in AC Valhalla need to be set on fire, such as to move on or to complete a particular part of a mission. This can be done in several ways. Each of them is described on this guide page.
This page of our guide for Assassin's Creed Valhalla's explains how to set fire to surrounding objects - hut roofs, chests or high grass. Additionally, we advise whether and how you can set your opponents on fire.

Burning things from in our environment is completely optional in most games, although there are exceptions to this rule. Incidentally, while completing the quest, you may be given a mission goal to set fire to the huts as part of the village pillaging together with other Vikings.

By far the easiest way to cause a fire is to choose a torch from the inventory. Eivor always has a torch and even after throwing it, we can always find another one in the inventory. When a torch is selected, it is also immediately lit.

Another good way is to use burning arrows. You can "turn" a standard arrow into a flaming arrow by approaching any fire source, e.g. a bonfire or a torch stand, while holding the bow. After the arrow is set on fire you can shoot it easily.

The game also enables you to acquire flaming/explosive arrows without looking for fire sources. You can:
- Use the Ranged Fire Strike ability. It is a reward for bringing two sets of medallions, i.e. objects obtained as trophies for defeating members of the Order of the Ancients, to Hytham.
- Use the Incendiary Powder Trap ability. The releavant Book of Knowledge can be found in Walden and Grantebridgescire, among other locations. The ability enables you to shoot exploding arrows, so in addition to setting fire to the area, they can destroy barricades.

In addition to setting fire to surrounding objects, you can also set fire to your opponents, so they will start to gradually lose health points. Fire can also easily move to other nearby enemies.
If it is Eivor who is set on fire, then start doing rolls. 1-2 rolls should be sufficient to extinguish the flames and stop the hp loss.
