What's FIFA 21?
FIFA 21 is another entry in the famous series of soccer games that's been around for 26 years now. The game doesn't really set the bar higher than last year, which isn't surprising, yet it's naturally expected to be a success as it doesn't have any competition any more. Despite some black PR and the complaints of fans!
What's new in FIFA 21?
The next installment of EA Sports' series doesn't look like it's set to revolutionize the series. Looking at the list of changes, you can conclude that the biggest novelty will be updated squads. Everything else comes down to promises and assurances of improvements. Improved artificial intelligence, more realistic grass, more moves – in fact, though, few people are likely to notice these improvements. Some will probably get the impression that FIFA 21 is exactly the same game, which it pretty much is, and which, again, is nothing unexpected. A new thing worth noting is the expansion of the career with the ability to interfere with the course of games, or access to more statistics.
OUR EXPECTATIONS
I think the term "false start" describes well what Electronic Arts has been doing before the release. Random OVA of players, misspelling famous names or not releasing a demo version (for the first time in a long time). On top of that, there's quite a few promises that seem to bear not credibility, after the initial tests of the most popular players on the Internet. How to escape these dire straits? The thing is, EA doesn't have to; in fact, it doesn't want to. Negative PR is also PR, especially as the Japanese corner has been silent. Pro Evolution Soccer 2021 was released as paid squads update. So, EA gets off easy this year, but they better already start working on their next game. In 2021, the new PES brings new engine and new challenges.
