What is Watch Dogs: Legion?
The third installment of Watch Dogs takes us to cyberpunk London. However, we won't be controlling a single character, we'll only complete a network of playable agents with unique skills and specializations of our own. By switching between them, we can perform specific tasks – from quietly stealing items to participating in open fights. Gadgets enhancing the fun will play major role in gameplay.

Almost every neutral person we meet on a tour of London will be playable. Londoners have their own archetypes and belong to different social groups. This will allow the use of a police officer to navigate the protected area, or a construction worker to use a transport drone. The heart of the fun in Legion will be delegating different characters to specific tasks – depending on the situation. But how did all that happen? Britain had left the European Union and bet on automation. The development of artificial intelligence has led to a sharp rise in unemployment. Civil liberties have been curbed, a private military organization runs the streets, and the hacking group DedSec has been accused of a bomb attack. We need to clean up this mess!
OUR EXPECTATIONS
I've long since jumped on the hype train, and my expectations for this game have only risen after playing the second installment recently... Not everyone liked that game, but I enjoyed it more than the dark and somewhat pretentious story in the first game. Legion seems to be catering to both people who enjoy a proper story (I mean, Brexit being one of the main subjects? Damn!), as well as those, who enjoy playing games for fun alone (old lady assassin is just one of examples). And then there's the ability of recruiting NPCs, which translates into increased replayability – finally, Ubisoft bet on new solutions, abandoning the beaten track (vide the Assassin's Creed series) and promising something fresh in terms of gameplay. Definitely looking forward to Legion!

I am so tempted by this game – and at the same time somewhat repulsed. On the one hand, the setting seems brilliant. I would love to delve into something like a comprehensive idea of post-brexit London. It's a timely subject that gives a decent amount of leeway for a writer who wants to create mature political fiction. On the other hand... Well, it's Ubisoft. A company that has lately been at the forefront of flunking good ideas. It's highly likely that more people worked on the grandma warrior that there did on the story. But maybe I'm wrong... Well, we have to wait and see!
