We present the ultimate best games released in 2022. Throughout the year, we've been selecting the best games, and now, near the end of the year, the list is finally complete!

Table of Contents

Mario Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

  1. Release date: October 20
  2. Genre: tactical RPG
  3. Developer: Ubisoft
  4. Platform: Nintendo Switch
  5. Our rating: 9/10

Two different brands and heroes of arcade games – the plumber Mario and the Rabbids – met in a completely different RPG with a turn-based combat system – and surprisingly – this combination worked perfectly, for the second time. Famous characters such as Luigi, Peach and the rest of the team from both universes had to face the sinister matter of Cursa and embarked on a long journey across the galaxy to do so. Traveling through various planets with your team, you complete missions in the game, develop your abilities and fight spectacular battles in turn-based mode.

Reviewers praised the latter mechanics in particular. The clashes here require a tactical knack and knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the characters in your team. The level designs that are fun to explore in real time are also great. In addition, the game charms with graphics and humor. This is an example of how to properly use the previous installment as a base, complementing it in the sequel with new, more interesting and engaging solutions.

Five years after the original, the Mario + Rabbids series finally has a sequel. No one could have expected such a strange crossover to have such engaging tactical combat and enjoyable RPG mechanics, but with this series, it’s hard to know what to expect. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope follows in the footsteps of its predecessor by being one of the weirdest games out there, but also incredibly fun.
