How many more games about bearded thugs, commandos with guns, and perky, hectoring gals can be made...? After all, it's common knowledge that the Internet is a place of cute cats and funny videos, no? The creators of Stray capitalized the popularity of cats and chose an ordinary puss as their hero, which guaranteed the sympathy of many players even before the premiere. And if someone didn't expect an incredibly detailed game, they got a few hours of extremely atmospheric and addictive fun.

Stray turned out to be a fairly simple, linear adventure game with platform elements, and with skillfully interwoven, intriguing plot. This is quite a feat considering that the main character is an ordinary cat and the creatures that surround it are only bots. Added value is brought by a suggestive, meticulously crafted setting of a post-apocalyptic world of the future. Thanks to this, Stray appealed even to moderate cat lovers.

At its core, Stray is a beautiful game of exploration that can be finished at your own pace. Its gameplay constitutes a calming experience that makes typically mundane activities such as jumping on ledges, walking around corners, and even just meowing, feel powerful. Ultimately, the emotional connections you build throughout your adventure are a testament that you should never underestimate an unassuming cat as it could very well be destined for greatness.
