The new Gauntlet was developed by Arrowhead, known for the Magicka series. Mechanics-wise, the game is a classic top-down arcade production with role-playing elements. You play as heroes traversing expansive dungeons, which are inhabited by monsters and ghosts.

In each turn you can execute up to 3 actions, and every action takes a number of movement points.
