The third installment in a strategic tower-defense game with action elements. The franchise was created in 2010 by Signal Studios. Gameplay in Toy Soldiers: War Chest is based on the series' token mechanics. You control an army of toy soldiers who have to defend their base from enemy attacks. To that end you must deploy various cannons and guns, which can later be upgraded to increase their fire power. At any moment you can take control of an individual unit, switching the perspective to TPP. The third part of Toy Soldiers series offers four distinctive armies – starting with the German Empire from the World War I period to a fantasy army of Star Power which enlists Pegasi, Unicorns, and other legendary creatures. Each side of the conflict has its own unique units, weapons, and types of attacks, which determine your preferred tactics.

Super Meat Boy: Forever is a spin-off of the Super Meat Boy series developed by Team Meat. Once again, we get a 2D game where action is presented from a side-scrolling perspective. This time, however, we do not have full control over the titular character. He continuously runs ahead, we can only help him avoid all sorts of traps and obstacles. We will also have fight with powerful bosses every once in a while. In addition to single player, the game offers the so-called Endless mode where we have to run as far as possible and survive as long as possible. Our score is then published in online rankings when we can compare our times with the achievements of other players. The game has cartoonish visuals and lots of dark humor in it. Super Meat Boy: Forever has many references to other games, i.e. unlockable characters from various indie productions.

Age of Empires: Castle Siege is a spin-off of the best-selling Age of Empires series. Castle Siege is a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions. The game was developed by Smoking Gun Interactive, creators of many mobile games and Kinect games for Xbox 360, under the watchful eye of Microsoft. Castle Siege is set in medieval times, and the players can choose one of the few historic factions to play as. The game's mechanics are rather different than those from the regular Age of Empires games. Age of Empires: Castle Siege has two primary gameplay aspects: the economic one, focusing on gathering resources, castle's extensions, and technological development; and the strategic one, which requires the players to attack other strongholds, controlled either by A.I. or other players. Multiplayer, which allows PC and mobile gamers to play together, is the core of the gameplay. However, Smoking Gun Interactive also created a single player mode, in which the players can play out a multiple mission campaign, and single scenarios inspired by famous historic battles.

The story campaign consists of 20 varied missions during which our goal is to commit increasingly audacious robberies and thefts. Before each mission, we can adjust our team’s composition (taking into account its member’s skills) and equipment. Every task can be completed in a variety of ways, and the choice is for the player to make. The game features an isometric view and a large dose of thievish sense of humor.

A sequel to a classic turn-based war strategy, Battle Academy, developed in 2010 by Slitherine and based on a simple online game promoted by BBC television. The second installment takes you to the Eastern Front of the World War II. The year is 1941, after the Nazi Germany launched the famous Operation Barbarossa, aimed at their former ally – the USSR. Battle Academy 2 offers four campaigns for a total of 30 missions. Apart from that, you can also play through individual scenarios or fight in the skirmish mode. In order to make the gameplay more diverse, maps are generated randomly. At its core the gameplay looks a bit like in the Panzer General series. The developers meticulously recreated over 130 authentic units and combat vehicles from the World War II period. Battle Academy 2 also introduces minor changes to mechanics, such as smoke, short sprinting for infantry units, aerial support, partial damage and tactical use of trenches.

In order to achieve the goal, the players must most of all survive the confrontation with numerous opponents and occasionally-appearing powerful bosses against which they can use various melee weapons and guns. During the game the players must avoid various traps and solve occasional riddles.

Pokemon Shuffle is a free-to-play match-3 game with optional microtransactions. We play as a pokemon trainer who duels wild pocket monsters. if we win, the pokemon we have defeated is added to our collection. Gameplay focuses on aligning three or more elements of the same kind into horizontal and vertical lines. We move small squares with pokemon icons around a small board. In order to attack, we have to align at least three pokemon icons of the same type (i.e. three Pikachus will create an electric attack). The more we use one pokemon, the stronger it gets. However, we have to remember we only have a limited number of moves to use in battle. If we use them all before winning, we automatically loose. Our enemies also have strengths and weaknesses, so it is advisable to plan ahead before battle.

A 3DS port of Tetsuya Takahashi's jRPG, which was originally released in 2010 for Nintendo Wii. The story is set in dualistic world made of two bodies of gods who fought each other and died in the battle. While one is inhabited by humans, the other is dominated by hostile mechanical beings. The story focuses on a young orphan called Shulk, who, along with his team, is trying to prepare humanity for the incoming enemy. The hand-held port does not bring any changes to the gameplay mechanics of the game. As the developers aspired to deliver the essence of the original game intact, the port is incompatible with other Nintendo hand-helds and works exclusively on New 3DS.

During gameplay, you interact with other voyagers and diverse communities, like migrants from Europe, native Americans, and black slaves. The title depicts both the romantic picture of a drifter and the tragedy of people forced to leave their homes, which provokes to thinking about matters rarely brought up by games. The works of Mark Twain, Jack Kerouac, and John Steinbeck served as the source of inspiration. The world you get to explore is open, surreal, and partially three dimensional. The characteristic style is provided by the artist named Kellan Jett.

The game has a rather unusual form for its genre, as it somewhat resembles a classic, scrolling 2D platformer game. Love You To Bits features very colorful cartoonish graphics.

The most important aspect of Outdoor Retreat is the new mountainous location called Granite Falls. It's an clean place, where the tired Sims can find respite from the problems of their daily lives. In Granite Falls, they can participate in a range of new activities, such as sleeping in a tent, playing camping games, roasting sausages over a bonfire, and gathering herbs (which also involves a brand new Herbalism skill). There are also several smaller novelties, e.g. the bear costume and the NPC wearing them, who annoys the vacationing Sims.

An oldschool adventure game in a cyberpunk setting. Technobabylon is an expanded version of a free episodic adventure game from Technocrat. This version was developed by the indie studio Wadjet Eye Games, which has previously created such titles as Primordia and Gemini Rue. Technobabylon is set in the year 2087 in a dystopian metropolis of the future, in which Genetic engineering and technological modifications are a daily occurence and the order is kept by a well-armed organization known as CEL, whose role is that of the police, army, and research institute put together. In the game you follow the intertwining stories of three characters: a geneticist blackmailed by an unknown person, a woman addicted to a cyber-drug called Transe, and a tech-savvy worker going through a loyalty crisis. The stories of the protagonists are bound by the common thread of a huge political conspiracy that threatens not only their lives, but also the entire world. Interestingly, Technobabylon uses fans’ voices for the recorded voice messages found in the game.

A successful combination of an RPG and a match-three puzzler - Hero Emblems is a game set in a fantastical world facing destruction. It can be saved by only four daredevils, who continue the legacy of old heroes, maintaining the peace and order all over the world. They have to use the force locked in four magic artifacts in order to stop the god of evil returning life. In Hero Emblems, the player has to fight groups of opponents and powerful bosses. Combat is turn-based and performing an action – e.g. launching an attack, activating defensive techniques, selecting a special ability, and healing others – is possible after joining a group of same objects set on the board composed of 56 fields. The enemies are very diversified and unique, making the gameplay entertaining. In between the battles, one can explore the in-game world, interact with NPCs, and develop their characters.

Game is characterized by its unusual visuals; the in-game locations are presented in the form of paper models, with all characters being represented by pawns that resemble board games figurines.

As befits a true RPG, in Pixel Noir, the players get to explore numerous locations, interact with NPCs, find clues, collect valuable items, and fight enemies. Combat is turn-based, nonetheless, it features certain arcade elements. The main protagonist is accompanied by other characters, each one exhibiting unique skills and utilized weapons. Pixel Noir delivers neutral and grim pixel-art visuals.

The next-gen version lets you play not only as Godzilla, but also as any of the monsters appearing in the game. The developer also prepared a new game mode and multiplayer gameplay.

Zombies are not your only enemies, as other survivors can also be a problem; they can try to kill you and take your supplies. The game features a single player mode and 16-bit visuals.

The gameplay resembles the formula used in the original game - the player explores randomly generated dungeons, talks to seven female companions (as well as asks them out on dates) and fights the enemies encountered. Once again, the so-called Star Children accompany the player in combat, offering their unique abilities as a form of support. The game is played from a third-person view and the player can both avoid encounters with enemies and attack them by surprise. Similar to the previous installment, one can buy new parts of equipment in town. The visuals are decent here and resemble anime productions.

The player assumes the role of a hero traversing the fantasy world, solving various problems of its inhabitants and fighting various enemies. The game features an isometric view, and the combat system resembles mechanics of classic hack'n'slash games. The game stands out with its extensive system of character classes, offering eighty of them in total. Apart from the basic ones available at first, the game features numerous unique classes. In order to unlock them, the player has to complete entire series of quests or find a teacher living in a hardly accessible region of the game world. Gathering in groups of players is crucial for success here. The players complete the story-related quests or fight powerful bosses together.

A space sandbox from a group of developers known for the arcade racing game called Pressure. Cosmonautica allows us to become a captain of a spaceship, his objective being to build a small trading company. The player can explore the galaxy, comprised of randomly generated star systems, and search for various goods that are capable of bringing a profit. During our visits in spaceports, we can take up tasks that may end up in a fight. Management of the ship and its crew is an important aspect of the game – the vessel requires constant refuels, repairs, and modifications to stay competitive, while our crew has to be taken care of, and assigned to various tasks, all while making sure that the individual crew members want to cooperate with each other. Aside from the sandbox mode, the game contains the ability to create and take part in single scenarios. Cosmonautica is characterized by simple cartoonish visuals.

Developed by Perihelion Software, The Mandate is a combination of RTS and RPG, employing a science-fiction setting. The action of the game takes place in the distant future, in which the society model resembles the one from 1800’s Russia. After the Emperor’s sudden death, the condition of the monarchy begins to deteriorate, and some of its sectors rebel against the crown princess and separate from the union. The player assumes the role of an infamous captain, who receives the chance to regain his honor by crushing the rebellion. In terms of the gameplay mechanics, The Mandate combines typical RTS elements, such as army and colony management with the in-game story and necessity to make moral choices modeled after RPG games. During the game, one has to command their soldiers during battles, dispatch them on multiple missions, and explore the world shaped by one’s decisions. The scale of the conflict is not limited to single battles – players can conquer entire sectors, colonize new systems, construct star bases, and build huge armadas.
