An action RPG with roguelike traits, developed by independent studio One Bit Beyond. The game tells the story of brave characters trying to defeat the evil Mormo. Because the enemy has an army of beasts under his command, many heroes will fall before someone achieves the goal. The action in The Swords of Ditto is presented from an isometric perspective and the gameplay focuses on exploration and combat with encountered enemies. Although the gameplay is action-based, the combat system mostly rewards having proper equipment – in additional to traditional weapons, during the game the player can use more extraordinary items like a magic golf club. The combat potential of the character can be also increased with stickers that provide additional bonuses. It is worth mentioning that dying in the game is permanent and the legacy left by fallen heroes, like their equipment, can make the next attempt a bit easier. The game can be played alone or with another player in a local cooperation mode.

A hybrid of a third-person perspective action game and a fighting game developed by Team Ninja. The game enables the players to control characters known from the main installments of the Final Fantasy series. The title is an improved and expanded port of a game that debuted in 2015 on Japanese arcade cabinets. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT doesn’t feature a dedicated, complex story mode, but the duels have a narrative, illustrated with cutscenes and dialogues. As for the mechanics, the title is a three-dimensional fighting game. Two three-person teams face each other on small arenas. The players can choose from more than 20 characters divided into four classes. Various classes feature different skills and serve different roles on the battlefield. The objective of the game is to eliminate the opponents by reducing their health to zero. After winning, the players receive experience points and money that enable them to unlock new weapons, skills and character skins.

An old-school action game developed by one man from the Japanese developer team Skeleton Crew Studio. BackSlash is a beat'em up game, in which the players observe the action from a side perspective. The gameplay builds on battles taking place in special 2D arenas. The player assumes the role of a warrior who represents one of the ten available combat styles that differ from one another in terms of special abilities and weapons used. When in battle, one can use his bare fists, cold steel (e.g. swords and katanas), ranged weapons (e.g. shuriken throwing stars, throwing knives), and a wide range of both offensive and defensive spells. The key to success lies in swift dodging and blocking enemy blows, as well as mounting counterattacks. Additionally, the battlefields can be demolished, which opens new strategic opportunities to the players. The gameplay becomes gradually more dynamic - the longer one plays the game, the faster his character moves.

Metroid: Samus Returns is a remastered and thoroughly remodeled version of Metroid II: Samus Returns, which was originally released on Game Boy in 1991. The modern version was developed by MercuryStream Entertainment, creators of games like the well-received Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. As the title may suggest, Samus Aran, an intergalactic bounty hunter who fights with space pirates, is the protagonist here, just like in many other Metroid games. Action in the game is presented from a side-scrolling perspective. Gameplay focuses on exploration of various vast and nonlinear levels and elimination of the titular metroid creatures. As we progress, we gain access to new areas. Samus uses a wide range of Beams, futuristic cannons that fire energy bullets and beams. She also uses the unique abilities that her Space Jump suit grants her (she can jump higher when using it). Additionally, Samus can take alternative forms that will help her get to some normally inaccessible areas.

Steep: Road to the Olympics is the first expansion for Steep, a winter sports simulator developed by Ubisoft. The DLC, created in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee, allows the players to try themselves in various winter sports, like Alpine skiing, snowboard cross, slopestyle, skicross, halfpipe, giant slalom, super giant slalom, or big air. Gameplay mechanics remain the same as in the base game. We will encounter both A.I.- and player-controlled characters as we play and take part in challenges created by the latter ones. Competition between the players (online rankings) and doing quests located all around the world still play an important role in the game. Developers created brand-new Japanese and North Korean locations for the DLC.

He must unveil the grim mystery of the place, despite the fact he keeps getting injected with all sorts of medications that cause him to experience strange visions. The Inpatient lets us experience horrifying scenes, explore dark locations and interact with characters we meet. There are also decisions to make during crucial moments of the story that affect its development. The Inpatient focuses on immersion, using FPP view and letting us choose dialogue options by reading aloud one of a few available on the screen.

A rare example of an MMORTS game set in a retro-futuristic universe. Developed by a French independent studio – Insane Unity – Win That War! combines the gameplay mechanics typical of real-time strategy games with online interactions. The game allows the players to choose a side in a war between three megacorporations, which fight against each other for control over newly discovered planets full of precious minerals. In the game, one assumes the role of a general of an army comprised of futuristic tanks and airplanes. Combat teams can be dispatched to different locations on the surface of a beleaguered planet, where one can either leave them on their own and allow the AI to lead the defense of a planetary sector, or lead the army in person to battle hostile players. Battles are typical for the RTS genre: a player has to acquire resources, build factories, recruit new units and dispatch them to fight the enemy. In return for victorious battles, players are rewarded with currency, which they can spend on drafting new armies and improving existing ones. The technology research trees allow the players to unlock new structures and combat vehicles. Apart from the main MMO mode, the game offers a chance to play non-committal multiplayer battles and skirmishes against the AI.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Master Trials is the first expansion for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that was developed by Nintendo. It is a typical game expansion that does not introduce any major changes to gameplay mechanics. Nintendo focused on adding new content to the game and, by doing so, expanding our adventures in Hyrule. The biggest introduction that comes with the expansion is the new adventure called Trials of the Sword. It takes us to small maps where we do not have access to our previously gathered equipment and have to fight off waves of enemies. We get new pieces of equipment and useful items by defeating our enemies and exploring our surroundings. Doing so will prepare us for fights with more powerful opponents. Master Trials also introduces a new difficulty level called Master Mode. In terms of new items, this add-on introduces one new mask and eight armor sets.

You can also try to complete certain tasks, such as e.g. defeating your enemy as quick as possible with a special attack. An experimental adventure game with exploration elements created by two independent developers: Mez Breeze and Andy Campbell. The main protagonist of All the Delicate Duplicates is John - a computer scientist and a single father of Charlotte, who accompanies him on his adventure. One day, the man receives some mysterious items - journals and sketches - as an inheritance from an enigmatic relative of his - Mo. After some time, our characters discover that the objects they inherited, and now keep at the attic, feature some unusual properties that affect both their surroundings and memories. During the game, the players observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay itself revolves around the exploration of diverse surreal locations and logical puzzles solving. Consecutive plot sequences are revealed after the main protagonist reads texts and site-specific notes, which he finds on his way to discover the secret of mysterious inheritance. Because of a rather short playthrough and the nonlinear nature of the game, one might classify it as an interactive experience, rather than a typical video game.

A multiplayer arcade game developed for Nintendo Switch. The game rules are simple - the characters run around a board divided into smaller panels. By jumping you rotate the tiles near your avatar, changing their color to match it. If someone else steps onto your tile, they drop out of the game. When rotating the tiles you can earn various power-ups which e.g. increase your speed or the number of the rotated tiles. Some tiles, however, are immobile and cannot be rotated; if you know the mechanics well enough, you can use it to your advantage. Project Mekuru's multiplayer mode allows 4 players to play with each other at once, either online or using just one console. The visuals are quite simple — on the screen you see only the boards and the colorful characters wearing futuristic suits.

The player assumes the role of an adventurer, who helps an unfamiliar woman in reaching the roots of the Yggdrasil tree, which is told to hide a gate to the world of gods. The events in Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 are presented from an isometric perspective, and a significant portion of gameplay is about exploration of randomly generated dungeons as well as fighting turn-based battles. Interestingly, both heroes and their adversaries perform actions at the same time – therefore, when you move from one field to another, the enemy may be performing the same action. You take under your command a team of four adventurers, whom you can hire and replace in a town, which serves the role of your base of operation. In the course of the adventure the heroes gain experience and learn new skills as well as class-based special abilities. It is also noteworthy that upon dying the characters go back to the town, however, they also lose the entire equipment and gold they carried. Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2’s characteristic feature is its colorful, eye-pleasing graphics.
