An online science fiction strategy game by Sparkypants Studios, combining elements of a classical RTS with elements of modern MOBA productions. The action of Dropzone is set in times when humanity’s future is dependent on the mysterious energy source called the Core, and the only place where it can be found is Europa, one of the Jupiter’s moons. The problem is that the place is also a target for the alien race of Kavash. While playing, we control powerful battle mechs and our goal is to defeat the aliens as well as gather the necessary energy. The gameplay is similar to that of classic RTS productions but the developers completely dropped the base building element, focusing solely on tactical battles between two three-member teams. Skirmishes take place on small maps and usually last about 15 minutes. Both teams have to defeat their opponents and take control of the Core located in the middle of the map.

Kingdom Hearts: Unchained X is a prequel to the Kingdom Hearts series, so it may be interesting not only for new players, but also for the fans. In comparison to the previous installments, this version is reduced. During gameplay you visit various locations based on Disney animations, in which you fight monsters known as the Heartless. The turn-based battles with the medal system play a key role in the game. During a turn, you get one action point for each medal the character is equipped with. By tapping the enemy or sliding a finger across the screen, you carry out an attack against a single unit or a group of enemies. Moreover, medals give you special abilities which can be developed through the game. The fairytale-like atmosphere is complemented by cartoonish 2D graphics.

An action adventure game developed by the Insomniac Games studio. The player sets out on an adventure in a fantasy world, and plays the role of the son of the chieftain of one of the most powerful local tribes. When the leader is assassinated, a different group takes care of the child, who then returns to his home years later to avenge his father’s death. The action begins with us choosing the sex of the main character - this decision has a lot of impact on the gameplay, as the male and female feature different, unique skills. The gameplay itself revolves around exploration of the mysterious land, completing both the main and optional quests and fighting hordes of enemies. The advanced combat system featured in Feral Rites allows for numerous punches, kicks, air attacks, special tricks and finishers. We can also transform into a beast, which significantly improves our combat abilities for a short amount of time. The production is distinguished by its high-quality visuals; when compared to other titles designed solely with the VR googles in mind, it sets itself apart even further by the perspective – as the camera is placed behind our hero’s back.

A mobile battle-strategy game set in the world of Warhammer 40,000. It is a virtual rendition of Battlefleet Gothic - a tabletop game published by Games Workshop. Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan was developed by Grand Cauldron and offers an extensive campaign based on the stories from expansions, comic strips and novels belonging to the Shield of Baal series. Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan follows the Tyranids' invasion of the Cryptus system, as a result of which humanity loses majority of their ships together with Admiral Julius van Avacor. The player assumes the role of his successor who tries to hold the system until backup arrives. The player participates in turn-based battles set in space and based on the rules of the original tabletop game. The pace of the gameplay here is slow, resembling sea battles. Taking into account both the advantages and disadvantages of different ships having their individual features and weaponry is the key to achieve success in battle. A continuation to a jRPG bearing the same title. The game is part of a larger universe known from the The Legend of Heroes series. Trails of Cold Steel II begins a month after the events depicted in the first installment. The civil war in Erebonia began for good. Rean's goals are to find the remaining students from the Seventh Grade, as well as to put an end to the bloody conflict, which has torn the protagonist's native country apart. Although the experience is based on the gameplay formula of the previous installment, the creators decided to introduce a few changes. The so-called Tactical Link System, which provided new combos and other tactical abilities used in conjunction with other characters with whom the protagonist has established relationships, appears in this game in the company of the new feature - Overdrive Mode - which allows the linked team-members to continuously execute attacks during even up to 3 turns in a row. Exploration was improved as well - the player traverses the extensive locations on foot, aboard a customizable airship, on horseback, or by a motorcycle. Furthermore, the protagonist can recruit allies from among the NPCs scattered throughout the game world. The game features decent-quality graphics inspired by manga style.

The main focus of the game are clashes between two 16-player teams. Each of the armies has a commander, whose perspective differs from the rest of the team. The remaining players take part in a classic action game; they can use firearms – the events are seen from the first-person perspective – as well as melee weapons, with the camera assuming third-person perspective when using them. The key to success lies in cooperation and carrying out orders received from the commander, who has a better view of the battlefield. In the game, we are taken to a slightly surreal world from Bob’s dreams, where he has to face his own fears, traversing several lands full of various obstacles. The gameplay mechanics are based mainly on exploration and solving puzzles by manipulating objects in the environment. Everything is governed by the realistic physics engine that manages the behavior of all items and the unusual controls that are characterized by significant inertia of the protagonist. Human: Fall Flat is designed not to impose any specific way of doing things but to reward creativity and the ability to think outside the box.

A two-dimensional arcade shoot'em up game. First serious commercial production created by the British studio Out of Bound Games. The plot of Laser Disco Defenders is set in a cartoonish sci-fi realm where the main characters defend the world against various threats. Our protagonists must retrieve a powerful artifact called Mirror Moon that had been stolen by evil Lord Monotone, who plans to use it for his (evil) purposes. The game is a classic 2D twin-stick shooter. We travel in zero gravity, moving through randomly generated labyrinths where we fight numerous opponents and face other dangers. Luckily, useful equipment unlocks as we gain experience, giving us unique new skills. Laser Disco Defenders features both music and aesthetics taken straight from the 1970s.

A surreal two-dimensional point ‘n’ click science fiction adventure game created by Jacob Janerka, an Australian developer of Polish descent. The story of Paradigm takes us to a near future to a surreal world inspired by Eastern Europe of the 70s and 80s. The protagonist is named Paradigm, he is a mutant and a product of a failed project of DUPA Corporation that deals in breeding ideal children. Abandoned by his creators, the hero produces electronic music and his goal is to reach world fame in this field. Both the plot and the characters are saturated with absurd and dark humor, additionally enriched with numerous easter eggs. As far as gameplay is concerned, Paradigm resembles classical adventure games of the 90s, such as Day of the Tentacle or the Monkey Island series. While playing, we have to explore levels, interact with non-player characters, gather items, and solve logic puzzles. The audiovisual layer of the title also strongly references the retro style.

An unusual logic game developed by a Polish studio Paplus International. The developers were inspired by the popular Monument Valley. The plot of Ghost of Memories tells the story of a lone adventurer who acquires an ancient scepter during one of his travels. The artifact speaks with the voice of a woman trapped inside the scepter’s head. She offers to unlock the powers dormant in the item if the hero decides to free her. Thanks to its power, the traveler can manipulate reality and create inter-dimensional portals, which help him face encountered difficulties and various traps. During the game, we observe the situation from an isometric view, while the player focuses on solving environmental riddles that involve various mechanisms and physical phenomenon, such as optical illusions. The developers prepared a relatively small selection of levels (15 available); however the level of detail and advancement of the encountered puzzles should outweigh even this downside.
