The developers implemented a novelty to the series – the enemies can become allies if Kirby throws enough hearts at them. The allies can be controlled by artificial intelligence or by other players. This enables the protagonist to combine his abilities with the power of elements obtained from his companions.

A three-dimensional platformer designed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console. The players take control of Yoshi – a cute dinosaur-like creature known from the Mario franchise. This time he is taken to a miniature world filled with challenges requiring both skill and logic, and offering many gold coins to collect. Yoshi is a classic platformer with side view, with our hero running, jumping and throwing eggs at enemies or environmental objects. Interestingly, the camera can be changed at any moment to look at the level from another perspective. This can be used to discover new paths and many surprises, and each level can be completed in two ways. The game can be completed in cooperation in split-screen mode for two players. Visually, Yoshi uses box-like miniature dioramas, resembling the Paper Mario series.

Skirmishes are played at a slow pace, requiring the right timing of attacks and effective anticipation of enemies' movements.

Even if your computer is turned off, the resources are still mined for, the shipyards keep building new ships, and the installations are built according to your orders. It also means that in every given moment your island may get attacked by another user, who hopes to steal some of your useful resources. To defend yourself against the invaders, you can attack them yourself, build fortifications, and ally yourself with others through trading and diplomacy. An important feature is the captain character and their special ship, which you can upgrade with the modifications you earn. Both the captain and your whole empire can level up, which allows you to allocate bonuses for them, according to your own development strategy.

The gameplay revolves around fighting hordes of opponents controlled by the AI and facing other players. During the game, one is tasked with assembling a team of three and participating in dynamic battles using unique sets of skills exhibited by each separate character. Hokuto ga Gotoku is an action-adventure game built on the foundations of the Yakuza series. The title was developed by one of the in-house developer teams at Sega, the one responsible for the Yakuza series. The title is based on the Japanese comic series Hokuto no Ken (known as Fist of the North Star in the West). It takes place in a post-apocalyptic reality filled with ruins of cities and radiation-burned deserts. The player assumes the role of a warrior who knows a secret martial art that enables him to destroy the bodies of his enemies from the inside. The campaign concentrates on the city of Eden and its surroundings. The game world is open and in addition to the main story missions it features many optional side missions and various minigames. The gameplay focuses mostly on melee combat based on an advanced system that enables the player to perform various attacks and combos. All of that is presented by using a cartoonish stylization that is very similar to what was shown in the comic.

The production takes us to an alternative version of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, where thanks to Nikola Tesla's inventions the development of civilization has significantly accelerated. The player takes on the role of a journalist who, while searching for her missing sister, finds himself on board a giant seagoing ship designed by Tesla for research and experimentation. As he embarks on board, he discovers that something terrifying has happened there, leading to the appearance of bloodthirsty beasts and the death of most of the crew. While playing, we observe the event from a first-person perspective, exploring locations and solving puzzles. Much of the fun has a sneaky character - we must avoid detection by monsters, and in the event of failure, save ourselves by escaping.

An adventure game set in the universe of the Planet of the Apes movie series. The game is a debut project of the British Imaginati studio, which has been established under Imaginarium Productions. The action of Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is set between the events shown in the movies titled Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes. The player can follow the adventures of the primates, who have separated themselves from the group being in the center of the movies in order to hide in the forests and caves throughout the Rocky Mountains. The harsh conditions and hunger have forced them to abandon their hideout - the only way for the herd to survive is to launch an attack on a small farm inhabited by humans. Gameplay mechanics of Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier draw from the solutions known from the games developed by Telltale Games. During the game, the player does not control the characters directly and does not explore the locations - their role is limited to selecting particular dialog options. These choices determine the story’s direction (some decisions might result in the deaths of certain key characters) and ending. The game delivers high-quality visuals - the developers have based their game on the Unreal Engine 4 technology. The player is bound to appreciate the detailed character models and their rich animations.

An unusual RPG with crime story traits. The title was developed by White Owls – a studio founded by Hidetaka Suehiro, the creator of Deadly Premonition and D4. The player assumes the role of Naomi, a reporter who comes to Rainy Woods, the self-called “happiest place on Earth”. She is looking for a way to pay her debts. When she founds a corpse of a young woman, she decides to concentrate her efforts on revealing who the murderer is and on solving the mystery of the city, the citizens of which transform into cats when the night falls. Naomi also becomes able to transform into a cat and she decides to use this opportunity to solve the mystery. One of the attractions of the game is a direct line drawn between two parts – during the day the player is a human, they interact with other citizens, and during the night they become a cat and gain access to previously inaccessible paths. Similarly to the previously mentioned Deadly Premonition, the NPCs in The Good Life have their own day and night activities and stick to their plans. The unusual gameplay mechanics are accompanied by the graphics – two-dimensional visuals feature cartoonish, slightly angular style.

Unlike the main protagonist of the previous expansion - The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe, Jessica prefers to work stealthily and eliminate enemies by surprise. In combat, she utilizes a pistol with a silencer and a sniper rifle. Similarly to the base game, in The Diaries of Agent Silent Death the player has to fight various enemies and traverse well-developed locations.

We can choose from various fire arms, knives and gadgets. The fights are viewed from first-person perspective and they take place on various maps, such as industrial district, castle ruins or streets of a modern city. The gameplay in Black Squad is based on team play and the game offers a few modes in which we have to complete objectives – from a simple elimination, VIP assassination to destroying an enemy base. Depending on which mode we chose, we can act in teams consisting of five, eight, ten and even sixteen members.

In total, the developers prepared eighty chess challenges (e.g. winning a game within seven turns). The multiplayer lets us play locally or engage in ranked online matches. Chess Ultra also allows the players to organize their own tournaments and search for game partners of the same skill level. The developers created four game rooms. Moreover, we can change the appearance of the board and chess figures by choosing from tens of available models. The production supports 4K resolution.

Units randomly appear on the boards, and your task in to manipulate them in such a way so that you create lines of at least three identical units, like in a match-3 game. It allows the ships to merge into a more powerful one, and its type depends on the units that were used in the combination. The battle is won by the player who manages to destroy the opponent's main unit, stationed in the back. The game focuses on multiplayer PvP battles, but also allows you to play against the AI. You can also gather heroes with unique abilities to help you.

A cooperation-based action game set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk world. The players assume the roles of crew members aboard combat airships and fight for survival during air battles. The creators of the game, the American studio Muse Games, had planned to release Alliance as a DLC expansion for their previous game - Guns of Icarus: Online. Over time however, Alliance became a full-fledged game which adds to the concept of its PvP-focused predecessor through implementing PvE contents, including cooperation-based missions and seasonal faction wars. In the co-op missions, the players assemble into 4-member crews comprising representatives of 3 classes: the Pilot, the Gunner, and the Engineer; then they complete various objectives and battle the AI-controlled airships of the enemy. Completing a mission affects the power of the faction the crew represents. One's faction fights other parties for domination over the world. On the world map, the factions fight seasonal wars - those are divided into two stages: the struggle for control over resources, and the actual wars fought by factions linked together into alliances by the developers. Great events and special achievements of particular players can become part of the game's story, which is being written by the creators.

Inspired by the Inception movie, Past Cure is a third-person action game with elements of stealth and horror. It is also a debut project of the German developer Phantom 8 Studio. The main protagonist of the game is Ian - an ex-soldier, who for years has been locked in prison and subjected to mysterious experiments that resulted in him acquiring supernatural abilities that enabled him to control human minds and use telekinesis. Ian, however, has to pay a high price for his new powers, as he slowly succumbs to insanity. Because of this, he decided to have his revenge on whoever is responsible for his condition. The gameplay builds on elements typical for the genre, thus a player has to explore diverse locations and fight numerous enemies. Even though the main protagonist is proficient with weapons and melee combat, he occasionally has to use his powers to sneak past his adversaries and avoid the omnipresent surveillance cameras. Moreover, at times his consciousness takes him to an alternate reality, where he has to solve more or less complex logic and environmental puzzles.

The player controls one of the tribes that live there and is tasked with securing its growth. The general goal is to transform the tribe into the ancient empire known from the history books. Predynastic Egypt is a turn-based game, in which the action takes place on a two-dimensional map. The map was reconstructed based on archeological discoveries, historic writings and climate changes that happened between 5000 BC and 3000 BC. The objective during the game is to expand into new territories, gather resources, produce food, develop new technologies and create possibly largest and most advanced army that could face the greatest opponents. What makes things complicated is the fact that player’s subjects are frequently forced to face natural disasters and epidemics. Religion can impact their lives as well. The title features simple, clean graphics and a catchy soundtrack.

The cars rush side by side on a road with no turns or branches, and you have no control over the steering wheel. Instead, you have to choose the right moments to shift gears or activate boosters to make your car go as fast as possible. There are many cars to unlock, as well as parts to modify them with, which affects their characteristics and upgrades them. Asphalt Street Storm features an expansive single player mode and a multiplayer mode for up to four players.

A simple arcade game from the indie studio Endice Software, inspired by the legendary Pong, one of the first video games ever. During the game you move glowing rectangles — the eponymous paddles — horizontally, bouncing a flying ball and trying no to allow it to touch the side of the screen. There are many obstacles, both static and moving ones, modifiers that can change the physics, construction of maps, and controls, as well as penalties and score multipliers. You can play Paddle vs. Paddle on your own or with up to three other players. The game features colorful but simple visuals — all of the game's elements are rendered as glowing 2D objects.

An action-adventure game in the form of a survival horror, created by TheMeatly Games - an independent Canadian developer. The game was divided into episodes to be released on a regular basis - the first of them can be tried out for free. Henry, the game's protagonist, is a former employee of an animation studio who revisits his old workplace in response to an invitation he received from his previous boss. Once there, Henry discovers that his former employer has dabbled in occultism and disappeared in mysterious circumstances. Moreover, the place is haunted by the titular Bendy, one of the cartoon characters created by the studio - he became a living animation in a way that cannot be explained. The protagonist must discover the secrets of this place and find a way out. Bendy and the Ink Machine is played from the first-person view. The player explores the in-game environment and solves more and less complicated puzzles, including environmental ones. From time to time, the player also needs to hide from the enemies hunting the protagonist. All of this is complemented by high-quality graphics featuring an original art style, which brings cartoons from the first half of the twentieth century into mind.

South Park: Phone Destroyer is a mobile strategy game based on a controversial animated TV series for adults. Developed by RedLynx – creators of the Trials game series – this South Park game installment is based on a free-to-play business model and features some microtransactions. During the game, the players have to collect cards representing characters known from the TV series and use them in order to build decks. Cards can be played during real-time battles, resulting in new characters appearing on the map and advancing on the enemy forces. The gameplay comes down to battles between two factions fighting each other from opposing sides of the screen. The creators prepared a typical for this kind of video games multiplayer mode. At the same time, the game offers an extensive story campaign, which, compared to similar games, is an unusual thing. Like the animated TV series, the entire game features the atmosphere of absurd comedy – jokes are plentiful, while the script riffs almost everything and everyone. Also, the visuals are kept in the same style as in the TV series, which should not come off as a surprise – South Park: Phone Destroyer has been created in cooperation with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the fathers of the original TV series.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Master Trials is the first expansion for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that was developed by Nintendo. It is a typical game expansion that does not introduce any major changes to gameplay mechanics. Nintendo focused on adding new content to the game and, by doing so, expanding our adventures in Hyrule. The biggest introduction that comes with the expansion is the new adventure called Trials of the Sword. It takes us to small maps where we do not have access to our previously gathered equipment and have to fight off waves of enemies. We get new pieces of equipment and useful items by defeating our enemies and exploring our surroundings. Doing so will prepare us for fights with more powerful opponents. Master Trials also introduces a new difficulty level called Master Mode. In terms of new items, this add-on introduces one new mask and eight armor sets.

A 2D fighting game by Japanese Studio Saizensen, starring the characters from Cave Story, Code of Princess, and Umihara Kawase. Blade Strangers features ten playable characters with unique appearances, abilities, and special attacks, with eye-catching scantily clad warrior girls. The combat system was inspired by the popular Super Smash Bros series, while also taking into account fighting game novices. Blade Strangers features several gameplay modes. Apart from the story campaign, consisting of a series of arcade duels, there is also a training mode, in which you can test the attacks of every character, and online battles. You can also try to complete certain tasks, such as e.g. defeating your enemy as quick as possible with a special attack. The arenas on which you fight are 3D, while the character models are 2D sprites.

Moss invites the players to a fantasy fairytale-like world, in which a mysterious stone awakens an ancient creature. A mouse hero named Quill is trying to face the threat. In order to succeed, she embarks on a dangerous journey through forests, dungeons and caves filled with riddles. The title is inspired by classic 3D platform games and focuses on exploration, beating environmental obstacles, solving puzzles and fighting enemies. The game fully supports VR technology and offers colorful, climatic graphics.
