A remake of the classic shooter that debuted in 1980 in the arcades. The new version was developed by Rebellion for virtual reality sets. Similarly as its predecessor, the new Battlezone has rather modest story which tells about an invasion of aliens on planet Earth. The player takes control of a modern battle tank and they are tasked with elimination of enemy vehicles, planes and unidentified flying objects. The action is shown from a first-person perspective and during the game the player travels through futuristic locations filled with neon elements that are typical of science-fiction movies of the 80s (like, for example, TRON). The gameplay combines dynamical action with the necessity to carefully plan one's actions.

The Deadly Tower of Monsters

A TPP action game styled after retro science-fiction titles, created by ACE Team studio – known from games like Rock of Ages, Abyss Odyssey, or the Zeno Clash series. The story features the adventures of three astronauts and their robot companion, whose ship crashes on the alien planet Gravoria, and their only chance to escape is reaching the top of a massive tower. We observe the game’s world from the point far above characters’ heads, and the gameplay consist mainly of eliminating hordes of enemies coming in waves, each more challenging than previous ones. The characteristic feature of The Deadly Tower of Monsters are its designs, employing the color palette from classic science-fiction movie. Moreover, the characters look like actors dressed up in costumes, and in the scenes with space ships the strings attached to their models are clearly visible. All of this is complemented by the director’s commentary, who recollects the making of this movie-in-game.

Another installment of the popular series of games for Nintendo consoles. Similarly as previous titles from the Prime sub-series, Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a science-fiction first-person shooter. It was developed by Next Level Games and features only a stub of a plot. During the game the player assumes the role of a soldier of the Galactic Federation. Together with his companions, he fights against the Space Pirates while controlling mechs. The basic campaign mode was designed with cooperation mode for up to four players in mind. Despite the fact that the game focuses purely on action elements, the developers added a bit of tactical depth – before each fight the player can select the equipment of his mech. The game also contains multiplayer modes based on competition between players, including a special mode called Blast Ball, which is a futuristic variation of soccer for two three-person teams.

Different tasks can be tackled using two different styles: rhythmical or action oriented, and the basic gameplay is diversified by the addition of arcade mini-games.

Island Flight Simulator combines elements of a simple flight and economy simulation games. It was developed by Caipirinha Games. The game takes us to a tropical area, where we assume the role of a small transport plane pilot. The gameplay boils down to transporting various goods, including those commonly considered illegal, between twelve exotic islands. The campaign consists of over a hundred challenges which involve very simple and quick jobs as well as high-risk missions. There are three aircraft at the player’s disposal, each different in terms of performance and appearance. The money we earn are spent on fuel, repairs, and modifications that increase our airplane’s capabilities and, by extension, our chance of succeeding in subsequent missions. The flight model used in the game isn’t too challenging – the developers decided to make a sort of compromise, thanks to which beginner gamers can also enjoy the game.

A mobile game and a part of one of the most popular franchises in history. The production is a blend of a platformer and a typical runner game, set in the universe of Sonic the Hedgehog. You can not only play as the main character, but also as his friends, including Tails the Fox and Knuckles. The levels, called “episodes” in-game, are endless, although you can progress to the next one after earning a certain amount of points. Every character has a special ability, which helps them overcome obstacles (e.g. Sonic can triple-jump and Knuckles is super-strong, which makes him hit harder). The game features nicely designed maps full of platforms, enemies, and obstacles, making it more difficult to break records. You can find many collectibles and fight various bosses. The characters can be upgraded (they have three statistics: speed, strength, and acrobatics) and unlocked. The game's beautiful 2.5D was inspired by classic 8-bit and 16-bit console productions. The game was withdrawn from distribution due to a too aggressive business model.

The third entry in a popular mobile series that combines the features of roguelike RPG with the game mechanics of an evergreen classic, Minesweeper. It has been developed by Red Winter studio in cooperation with tinyBuild Games company. The story of Dungelot: Shattered Lands is set in a typical fantasy world, filled with magic, monsters, and various races. We play as a hero belonging to one of several classes with different skills and explore randomly generated dungeons. This is done by progressively revealing more fields hiding precious parts of equipment and treasures, as well as monsters, obstacles, and dangerous traps. In case of a confrontation, further exploration is locked until we beat the enemy, using various attacks and spells at our disposal. As we progress through the game, we will keep finding keys that unlock subsequent chambers. We also earn experience points, used to develop our character and allowing him to learn new skills.

A representative of the hack ’n’ slash genre, created by Dreamatrix Game Studios. The title is a follow-up to the 2013 Legends of Dawn. The players once again find themselves in Narr – a land inspired by Slavonic mythology. The plot of the game, which is not directly connected to its predecessor, focuses on a mysterious danger approaching from the dark swamps – the place has been releasing terrifying creatures, up to this point known only from myths and legends. Heroes from neighboring countries decided to put an end to the danger, lured by a promise of money from the local authorities. The gameplay in Wave of Darkness doesn’t try to be innovative, unfolding in the same vein as that of other known titles of the genre. Its mainstay is the exploration of the open world and combat with hordes of enemies. Aside from the main plot, we can also embark on the path of various side quests. The key to success is attained not only through collecting new pieces of equipment, but also by developing our hero. What’s important, we won’t find a rigorous class system, as we are free to choose any ability from the list of 35 different traits. Additionally, the game contains a system of crafting and upgrading current equipment, as well as the ability to create new spells. Sacrifices made to the gods allow our hero to receive temporary bonuses to individual abilities. The action is presented from an isometric view, with the finely-crafted locations being a definite highlight – the list includes catacombs, medieval castles, cemeteries, but also original ones such as flying islands.

However, a new studio, Far From Home, decided to pick-up the project and lead it to a stable release. The player assumes the role of an unidentified hero, who wakes up one night in a suburban home without having any recollection of the events of the last few days. Our protagonist, attempting to return to his family and discover what has happened, learns that the mansion has a grim backstory, while its walls are inhabited by dangerous, supernatural beings, including a ghost named Lilly. Our task is to avoid the monsters and survive five full nights in the grim house to explore it thoroughly and reveal its secrets. As our hero doesn’t have any weapons on him, Allison Road forces the player to use the environment around him to hide and lay traps.

An original arcade logic game with a bit of mathematics and dark humor, created by a duo of Russian developers. The player’s objective is to save herds of sheep from flooding caused by The Grim Reaper. We have to throw the sheep across a series of small islands so they can reach rescue dinghies. Each of the islands can only hold a certain amount of animals, so to use them efficiently, some basic mathematics will be needed. Our job is further hindered by the numerous dangers that await our mistakes, including deadly laser beams, ravenous wolves, or even the legendary Kraken. The campaign contains 120 varied levels with increasing difficulty level, taking place on four different worlds. Divide by Sheep is characterized by simple, colorful visuals. However, even if the game is humorous in nature, it is quite violent, as the sheep can die in horrific ways.

On the way, the protagonist finds special outfits that give him numerous abilities useful for overcoming new obstacles. Moreover, the creators included co-op gameplay, in which the second player takes on the role of a small yellow bird called Woodstock.

A simplistic arcade game requiring the player to throw spears at incoming enemies. This is the debut of Lichthund - an independent Polish developer. The game is set in the far future and the world itself was inspired by Germanic mythology, which is combined here with elements of science fiction and abstract humor. The player assumes the role of a bright-haired warrior who traverses this fantasy world and fights mythological creatures. Throwing bright spears at enemies approaching from the right side of the screen is the core element of the game. The player's objective here is to hit the target before it manages to reach the protagonist. The gameplay is diversified with special powers, such as the rainfall of luminous spears that encompasses the entire map. Powers such as this one can be upgraded alongside progression. Subsequent locations are highly diverse, as is the bestiary here. From time to time, the player encounters powerful bosses - defeating them requires application of adequate tactics. Lichtspeer stands out with its interesting graphic style, which is made of two-dimensional objects and bright colors.

Compared to the original The Escapists, the game features a modified combat system, while the protagonist doesn’t have to operate on his own, since he is followed by a group of other survivors. Because of this, we need to ensure not only the hero’s safety but also that of his companions.

Another installment of a simulator series allowing you to play as a driver of public transport bus, developed by the British company Astragon. The new developer made sure that player's role is not limited only to driving, but reflects all aspects of a bus driver's work as closely as possible. Therefore, during the game we are also responsible for, among others, interactions with passengers, ticket sales, and dealing with various random situations that can happen in urban transport. Bus Simulator 16 introduces a reputation system in which our popularity changes depending on how well we fulfill our responsibilities. The passengers' trust, which translates directly into revenue and business development, depends on our actions.

The gameplay as such has two branches here - on one hand, the player traverses the game world in real time, visiting different places (such as towns), taking quests from NPCs and gathering gold, as well as different items; on the other hand, the player fights turn-based battles on maps covered with hexes. Pit People distinguishes itself among other representatives of the genre by the presence of the narrator - this figure not only comments on the events on the screen, but also influences them in order to make the job of the player-controlled characters harder. Additionally, the game offers a competition-based mode for 4 players (two teams fight one another).

The game is played from an isometric view and noticeably, offers pixel-art visuals. The player's goal here is to defeat twelve gods of Olympus, who are supported by various creatures having their origins in Greek myths - for instance, gorgons or cyclopes. The game takes place in eight Greek polis. In case the protagonist dies, the player assumes control of another philosopher from the crowds. The player fails only when all the leaders die in battle. Okhlos was enriched with an encyclopedia that contains large amounts of information concerning the in-game characters and creatures the player encounters.

You play as Batgirl, who, together with Robin, sets out to rescue Commissioner Gordon, kidnapped by the Joker. During the game you visit a brand new location of Seagate Amusement Park, built on an oil platform. This is where you fight Joker's mooks and face new main quests and side quests. Since Batgirl is not as strong as Batman, but possesses incredible hacking skills, the gameplay is slightly different from that in the core game. You can, however, switch between characters to use their unique abilities when necessary.

An arcade dirt bike racing game which is an improved edition of the original, 2014 release. The game was created specifically for the eighth-gen consoles. The player takes on the role of a professional rider that participates in races taking place on special tracks filled with obstacles and jumps. 80 licensed motocross companies are featured in the game, as well as real-life contestants and authentic tracks. Several series of competitions are waiting for the player in the career mode and the so-called freeride. Both the Waypoint and Rhythm Racing modes are novelties here. In the former, the riders have to reach subsequent checkpoints in an open environment as fast as they can; in the latter, the contestants race on a straight track filled with obstacles. In terms of the multiplayer, up to 12 players can meet in an on-line session; on the other hand, the game also features a split-screen mode. MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore brings improved visuals, including both more detailed models and textures. Also, new sound effects were added.

We carry out our responsibilities using 15 specialized trucks, all of which are officially licensed by the MAN company. As we progress, we can gain access to new districts as well as more lucrative contracts. The game features a day and night cycle, changing weather conditions, and the necessity of performing the maintenance on your company's vehicles. The game also offers a multiplayer mode for the maximum of 4 players, in which the participators either share responsibilities or cooperate in the execution of a single large job.

FIFA 16 Ultimate Team features a new match engine which enabled the developers to implement control over the events in a match with both gestures and virtual buttons. Moreover, the artificial intelligence was enhanced, the quality of graphics and animation was improved, and the characteristic celebrating after a footballer scores a goal was implemented. Contrary to its predecessor, the player can trade footballers and collectible cards.

In the game created by Japanese developers under the aegis of FullPowerAttack.com, the player gets to control a gentleman locked in a colorful box. The trap, in which the main protagonist is locked, has a certain interesting feature – each wall has a different color and can be expanded on the outside. When properly manipulated, the box can be moved – this way, the player can use the laws of physics to solve environmental puzzles and overcome the obstacles scattered throughout fifty levels constituting the main campaign. Together with relatively straightforward gameplay mechanics, the game delivers simple controls – one has to utilize only six buttons. The visuals follow the 8-bit convention and are based on geometrical shapes.

A mobile puzzle/educational game from Spry Fox studio, in which the players must assemble words out of blocks with letters. After aligning one, the titular bears appear in slots where the block were, unlocking more blocks and giving various bonuses in points. As the game progresses, bears become bigger and bigger, greatly increasing our score. The whole difficulty of Alphabear comes from the fact that letters stay on board for limited amount of rounds, and failing to remove each results in it turning into an immovable obstacle that blocks part of a board and prevents enlarging of said bears. There are several varied game modes, changing each day, and the title is distributed as free-to-play production. Alphabear stands out with its colorful and good visuals, something rather uncommon in puzzle games.

Starting out in Order & Chaos 2: Redemption, we create our own character by choosing one of the different races and specializations. The title is characterized by high-quality three dimensional graphics that presents the action from the third-person perspective. The game is based on exploration, performing various quests and side missions, developing the protagonist, and fighting opponents. Battles are fought in real time. Apart from the standard PvE, the production features a PvP module that lets us fight other players.

The player is once again required to build bridges and other structures, but contrary to the realistic, more mundane predecessor, Bridge Constructor Stunts focuses on building insane racing tracks for the drivers to perform dangerous car acrobatics in mid-air. Because the tracks are filled with obstacles and traps, it is necessary to design the route in such a way that the vehicles are capable of making it to the finish line in one piece. The player has to decide about durability of particular structures - they may collapse if the player is mistaken. When the player manages to complete construction of a track, they can go for a test run in an extremely fast car. The vehicle is controlled by accelerating, braking and tilting it during the flight. The game offers fully 3D graphics, though the mechanics are fixed at a 2D perspective; all the in-game machines move towards the right.

The game is set in a wacky alternative version of the World War II. Our planet has been taken over not only by the Nazis, but also zombies and aliens, and the remaining humans dwell in isolated colonies. Only the so-called Roadtrackers dare to travel the dangerous roads in order to carry goods in their massive cars. As one of them, the player gets a fully customizable vehicle, which can be equipped with loads of gadgets and deadly weapons – which are as crazy as the game’s themes. While driving this monster-on-wheels, the hero traverses 2.5D levels like in a classic platform game. In order to reach his destination he has to overcome environmental obstacles, fight enemies, and search for hidden treasures.

The story told in Red Ash starts off when a giant mobile citadel is getting dangerously close to the city of Great Slope. Local authorities prepare a massive cannon to be able to deal with the danger. The problem is, there are some incredibly precious technologies stored within the huge robot. That’s why the game’s protagonist has to get inside and retrieve artifacts hidden there before the robot comes within the cannon’s range of fire. In the game you get to explore locations, collect items, avoid traps and fight – in combat you can use all sorts of firearms. Gameplay mechanics are also enriched by occasional logic puzzles and RPG elements.

While playing, we assume the role of an astronaut who is a member of an organization that explores uncharted regions of space. The protagonist awakens in a base on an alien planet and discovers that his ship was destroyed and his entire equipment scattered around the surrounding areas. Traversing the procedurally generated surface of the unknown world, the hero has to learn the truth about the objective of his mission and the reasons behind the crash, as well as to find a way to safely return home. While exploring, the protagonist has to avoid various dangers, gather the necessary resources and items, and to take care of his body’s and protective suit’s condition. Contrary to typical survival sandboxes, the game also offers an interesting plot that revolves around sorrow and loneliness.

The new expansion takes us to an excavation site in the Arctic (Fracture), one of the districts of New Bagdad (Overload), an island taken over by an epidemic (Quarantine), and a closed location in Seul, capital of South Korea (Swarm). The fourth episode of Exo Zombies continues the story of four heroes, Lennox, Lilith, Decker, and Kahn, who during the last episode managed to escape from the Atlas aircraft carrier. The group decides that Oz, a former ally turned into zombie, needs to be eliminated. The ultimate showdown will take place in Trident Retreat, an underwater survival facility. The new episode introduces new types of enemies, and a new weapon – Trident Reflected Energy Weapon.

An experimental, first-person adventure game created by Hollow Tree Games – an independent, Canadian developer. Shape of the World does not offer a plot as such; rather, it focuses on delivering a certain visual experience. The player takes on the role of a nameless traveler who introduces different changes to the world around along his way. The changes made are divided into two kinds: the passive (as the player follows the designated path) and the active. The latter requires the player to shape the surroundings, for example, by deciding how much vegetation is to grow in a particular area or giving different colors to it. The game world is dynamic, for it changes when the player roams it. Thus, places visited before can look completely different when the player goes back to revisit them. What is important however, is that the player is not forced to follow the designated path. Instead, the game rewards the player for wandering off the beaten path and thinking on their own.

Apart from the single player mode, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation features several multiplayer modes, in which you defend your base from enemies or perform co-op missions. The game utilizes a free-to-play model with microtransactions.

We can choose from a number of gameplay modes and different songs. Superbeat: Xonic offers over fifty songs composed by Korean performers. Among them, we can find typical pop hits, as well as broadly defined electronic music, or rock. Superbeat: Xonic is full of colored lightning effects, highlighting the disco-electronic design of the game.

A remastered version of the Japanese 2D action RPG - Odin Sphere - which was released in 2007 on the PlayStation 2 console. The story of the game takes place in a fantasy reality loosely based on the Richard Wagner's famous epic opera Der Ring des Nibelungen and focuses on the stories of five, seemingly unrelated characters. The player gets to know each of them better as he progress in the game and their histories intertwine with each other, creating a single, epic tale. Similarly as the original game, Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir focuses mostly on combat, and the token jRPG elements such as exploration and dialogues are kept to a minimum. In contrast to the original 2007 game, the remastered edition offers improved graphics, slightly upgraded gameplay and new enemies and bosses. Fans of the original game can play using old rules in the special Classic mode.

An unusual adventure game by Funkatronic Labs, combining elements of platformer and turn-based strategy productions. The plot of Nova-111 revolves around the effects of an experiment conducted by 111 ingenious scientists from an alternate world, where time flows in turns. The result of their actions is an anomaly that merged both worlds. As a pilot of the research vessel Nova, we have to find and rescue the scientists and to remove the anomaly to separate the dimensions. While playing, we explore two-dimensional levels that resemble those from traditional adventure games. However, most actions — including movement and combat — take place in turns. The production features many strategic fights and arcade challenges, but the main emphasis was put on solving puzzles, most of which require us to creatively use the protagonist’s special powers. Another key gameplay element is gathering parts that enable us to enhance our ship.
