Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy is a side-scrolled shooting game created by Budcat Creations (a developer with Madden for EA, Psychonauts or Medal of Honor: Vanguard) and released by Majesco. The game is distinguished by the fact that it allows you to build your own ships, levels and enemy vehicles. In addition, players can "absorb" parts and weapons from destroyed enemy vehicles in order to build their own unique combat machine during the mission.

As you play, you take part in military landings on beaches, struggles in underground mazes of caves and shootouts in lavish jungles – all that in historical locations, such as Corregidor Island, Guadalcanal or Iwo Jima. The most notable of innovations introduced in Rising Storm is the ability to promote your soldier to a Hero level, which grants him access to rare weapons and gear, and makes him stand out visually on the battlefield. The Rising Storm expansion is based on a modified version of Unreal Engine 3, which translates into high fidelity of graphics.
